50 Cent Producing 2pac's New Album

#3
To be fully honest, I would consider what he wants to do. So long as 50 isn't on anymore than a couple tracks and the rest of g-unit is left off (which is probably the most difficult part,) I wouldn't mind 50 being an executive-producer. The guy knows how to sell records and his business minded character could probably do this album some good. Problem is that I don't want Pac's legacy to end up depending on fucking g-unit. If someone can step in and help put out this album with the thoughts 50 had in mind, it'd most likely be a success.

hmmm, gotta agree with everyhing he says. but if hes executive than there is no way he'll be able to keep his ass and gunits of the record

and dont you love to hear breaking news as it happens, streethop (life forum):thumb:

Face it, 50 Cent knows how to sell records, and it's not by diluting songs with G-Unit guest appearances. He has access to numerous star producers (and even those within the G-Unit camp are good) and can market any piece of shit album to at least go platinum. It can't be any worse than Eminem's efforts. And we all know how much 50 worships Pac, and I'd bet 50 would be willing to invest more money into this album alone (hypothetically speaking) than Amaru has in all recent posthumous efforts combined.

The only downsides are inevitable G-Unit appearances (but 50 knows better than to do so with too many songs, unlike Eminem) and the removal of any existing Mobb Deep disses.

EDIT: I just thought of another downside, which is 50 singing on hooks. But hey, it can't be any worse than Eminem's gay ass singing on "Soldier like Me," right? Sing on.

He seems pretty passionate about it, no doubt with 50 as executive producer its gonna sell regardless, and pac would finally be promoted the way he deserves.

As long as he would keep g-unit to a minimal number of songs i'd say damn just let him do it, its gotton to the point where i dont really care anymore, i just want some good music. Just NO! fake shout outs/slowed vocals/unnecessary editing.

Hate it or love it, 50's the king of hooks

You never know... perhaps 50 can fund a Dr. Dre beat for this one.

If this is true, Amaru would be stupid to turn 50's offer down. He's a sure thing, and they would profit much more through magnified sales while doing less legwork for the album's development.

And new Pac songs will be playing in the clubs again.

i dont think its a good idea to put 50 cent to produce Pacs album, i dont think that he would give good mood to pacs songs, only he can do is good promotion ..nothing more.

Well, I just read the article and 'IF' these are truely 50's words then its really got me thinking. Okay, I see why the people who have responded have done so fairly positively. 50 is saying alot of the right things here, alot. If it werent 50 Cent I would be shoutin for this cunt to produce the album because he has talked the talk. But we all know with 50, he talks shit. Complete and utter shit most of the time. G Unit is wobbling at the minute and 50 sees a guarenteed pay day in producing a 2pac album. Various conclusions I have drawn from this article are:

# 50 mentioned a joint venture with Amaru. It made me think, Amaru must be reaching out for help to produce the album as of now which says to me that production has not begun as of yet. Which is bad.

# I get the impression 50 Cent has heard alot of Pacs unreleased stuff when Eminem done the Loyal To The Game project. He seems to know there are sure hits there.

Overall tho.... this is a big no-no. A Tyrant often springs from someone who appears originally as the protector. Best case scenario would be good promotion NO G UNIT on the album (impossible) a good video and top production maybe a Dre beat. Worst case scenario, G Unit all over it, Pac shoutin out G Unit (I bet that was 50's idea on LTTG) 50 claimin Pac as a memeber of G Unit. Mobb Deep involvement. Arghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

i am tired of talk like that becouse dre dont have any good beats in a while, dre was good in early 90's to 96-98 but now? i dont like his beats but that is only my opinion

I don't think 50 producing Pac's album is something that would contribute to Pac's legacy as 50 says. It would probably contribute to the sales, but would have almoust the same effect as LLTG on Pac's legacy and that is something which should never be allowed to happen EVER again! 50 is a bussines man and he wouldn't try to get this project if there wasn't anything in it for him, anhd that means G-Unit all over it.

 Certainly hope it ain't gonna happen. 50 shouldn't be involved with the music-part. If he can promote it right and sell it, ok. But if he's gonna be on the song with his wack mates I see another disaster comin.... Allthough I think it would be better than eminem's production, i can't imagine this would do any good to Pac's legacy. And who garantees no eminem production? I'm glad 50 atleast realises lttg was wack. That's something.

The big problem is that Amaru can't sell albums and that the promotion is horrible. 50 could help here, as long as he stays far away from Pac's music. That should be handled by capable producers lik JJ, Quick, QD3, maybe Kanye etc.

i knew it.. he gonna be on street life singing the hook, "street life cant let it get ya down, oh street life, dont let it run ya round" in his little quiet singing voice... nooooo

bring back the orig producers, none of these people who never knew him
