BK - A former Gangbanger turned UCLA student talks about 2Pac

#1
In an article in The Bruin a former gangbanger turned student and christian speaks about 2Pac, i was wondering how people on here felt about his opinion because i hadn't look at it this way before

“I guess when I listen to 2Pac I feel a lot of his (image). On the same token, I think he ruined a lot of peoples’ lives. When we used to bang, when we were rolling in cars looking for trouble, that’s the music we’d listen to,” B.K. said. “Listening to that kind of music might push you beyond what you usually do.”

that's bs. it's just entertainment. people who are that easily influenced by music are already headed down the wrong path. if thats how he feels then he should speak it but i think its bs. peace

^Well, look at it this way.

If you listen to rap music or hardcore metal while working out, as many people do, you listen to it because it's good workout music and it pumps you up.

Why is it hard to believe that if you're a gangbanger, listening to 2pac won't pump you up and give you more confidence to do what you wouldn't do if not listening to the music.

Music is quite known to alter and enhance moods.

I do agree that it shouldn't be blamed for violence and I agree with the "people who are that easily influenced by music are already headed down the wrong path" part completely.

Pac quoted early on from interview he was happy if his music moved anyone to do any thing think some words he said with that was discussing the shooting of the copper Pac had legal action to him for
having said this said later also reinterated said his musics only for fightin back that should 'pump people & said people need have more responsibility for whats on their records far as sayin some shit and on the same record discussing consequences Pac had it let me say real fans dont listen to him just for a Pump up & especially on a banging level theres plenty of rappers whose whole catalogues deal with this Pac obviously was more and violence like these on the streets will happen no matter what record is on the radio tough equating gym with these

whether or not an Image influence portrayed thru the records affected reckless behavior its the same as all else
