Credit Score/ Identity Theft

Do you guys actually pay attention to your FICO credit score?

Do you even care?

The reason I ask, is b/c after my ex and I broke up, I decided to look at my shit. I realized some of her debt was attached to mine. I just disputed that it wasn't mine. They are 'investigating it.'

Basically I went here:

https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp

Since it's free, I just ordered one. Next few months, I'll order from a different credit buereua...etc..

The only problem, is that it doesn't give you the actual score.

So I googled a bit and found this:

FREE Credit Score & Credit Report Card. No Credit Card Needed

They give you your actual credit score.

I seen this one show on NBC, where as soon as you apply for a credit card, it can actually already be used before it even arrives in the mail by hackers. :weird:

They have this card swiper with empy looking cards with their own named attached, and they attach the code on the bar strip and go shopping, since their name is actually on it.

Protect yourselves.

Knock yourself out bitches, and save your asses $.

NOTE: I'm not completely sure how safe creditkarma is, but it seems legit to me.

Anyone here actually suffer from Identity theft?

Personally, I haven't....but during these times, I got to make sure. :)

everyone should be concerned about their credit score, because later on down the road. you need a good credit score if your to buy a home. dont fuck yourself over on your credit score, running up a high amount of debt, not paying your bills on time. and thats what can hurt ya.

im signed up with credit inform, there a credit bureau that keeps track of your history. i signed up with them through my capital one credit card. and i get quarterly statements. mine is still in the *Good range* which is 690, but thats because i owe money on my Target and Capital One cards, i pay these on time every month, and ive never been late on a payment. plus im still paying for my car which i bought 3 and 1/2 years ago, ive been good on that. (im almost done with the car notes).

if one person is looking to get into that 740-850 range. spend moderatley dont run up a tab on your card. and if the credit companies boost your credit limit, please do not go out and spend whats on the limit. you do that then your debt goes so high it will be nearly impossible to pay it off. especially when that interest rate sky rockets. keep the spending minimium, use it for emergencies..(gas, food) a person shouldnt go out and spend $500 on a PS3, unless your bringing in the cheddar and can pay it off in a month. but a lot of us cant.

im a little behind on my credit debt, and next year i can pay it off. and get my score in that 740-850 range. it wont be perfect but close to it.

thats a legit credit source Shadows, you aint got nothing to worry about. and yeah a lot of Men who get married or are in relationships, do get fucked over by their spouses. same goes for hard working women who have lazy ass boyfriends or husbands. you work hard, but yet the other person can take advantage of your credit limit. and as soon as your screwed their out the door cause they cant get any more money from you. they'll move on to the next sucker.

i never did get my identity theft situation handled from when i wanted to get my phone. but yet my credit is still good. my credit statements come in and my spending balance hasnt changed at all. im protected under Debix, so if anybody tried to make a crazy purchase cant.
