I should probably know this but I cant remember. Did we ever find out when First 2 Bomb was recorded?

Really, it's one of the dopest Pac tracks Ive ever heard lyrically, he was really stepping his complexity up with this.

2Pac recorded the song in 96. Right before the Makaveli album was put out and just a little after All Eyez On Me was being recorded. In reference to the Tyrone Wrice StreetHop interview, Daz and them didn't really feel like producing for the Makaveli album and 2Pac didn't like the style of Johnny J's production, and thats where Tyrone came in for the most part...and that time period proves when F2B was recorded because daz and them stopped making beats for pac just before the makaveli album started being recorded.....

and i like the OG better then the remix btw...tanya herron gets a little annoying on the hooks lol..

READ THE FOLLOWING:

StreetHop.com: Tell us about the first time you met 2Pac.

Tyrone Wrice: I was working at Death Row Records. I produced a lot for artists who were never going to release anything. Nobody big at Death Row wanted to work with me until some of the Outlawz came up to my room and told me Pac wanted to see me. I was so relieved when I found out that Pac wanted to work with me, I was hearing rumors that I was going to be fired any day. I was giving my beats to Snoop, but he would never use them or get back to me, so I was stuck working on stuff that would never be released. Snoop was recording his album and Tupacs crew and Snoops crew started getting tribal and would only work with their own. Pac had no other producers, Daz wouldn’t do it, and Johnny J started using a new style Pac didn’t feel, so he wanted to see what we could do.

wut was the reason 4 daz not wanting 2 produce 4 pac? and y was there tension between the dogg pound camp and pac's camp? i never really heard the real reason 4 the tension. i also found it interesting that at the time of all this tension they were still showing each other love at the house of blues on the 4th of july in 96

From what I remember Pac wanted to make "Makaveli" sound different, that's why he didn't use Johnny J. He liked JJ's style, he wanted to make a production duo with him and I think it proves that he was enjoying his beats.
All Eyez on me had to be a totally DR style album, that's why DR producers worked on it. JJ was not on Deathrow. His beats Pac wanted to use were scratched out. It was all about Pac and Deathrow artists and producers (except wu-tang clan).

So again Pac enjoyed JJ's beats, I'm sure he'd be no.1 producer on Makaveli records albums, that's why they recorded so many "to be released" tracks together.

in the new tupac assassination dvd he was apparently pissed with suge while in nyc, but when he got to las vegas we see them hug in pictures. showing love to each other on a stage makes for better pr than giving each other the eye.

actually, the duo thing is something they did after makaveli was recorded i think. he recorded it some time in the early or mid summer of 96 right? it was, however, before the hit em up single came out. so either they dropped the idea or it came to fruition after makaveli was recorded. unconditional love and are you still down were among the last few tracks they worked on together according to jj.

anyway you're right about him wanting to make makaveli sound a little different.

I think the tension with DPG was just work rivals. They both wanted the best producers for their specific projects and it was a sort of competition to see who could do what. I doubt they had any real drama.

In regards to F2B, it's strange that it was recorded before Makaveli because it's so much better lyrically than anything on that album. I always assumed it was done after 7 Day Theory and that was just the natrual progression of Pac's style.

I Always Find It Trippy When I See Shit Like 'right After All Eyez, Just Beore Makaveli' Like What The Fuck. Were Lookin @ Like 6 Months, If While All Eyez Recording Like 10 Months So This Aint A Pinpoint Time Table

I Don't Think Pac Would Of Used Daz Production Heavy On Makaveli If It Was An Option.

Makaveli Was Recorded So Quick But Then Again All The Other Shit Was Too. Makaveli Recordings Had To Just Of Been In That Certain Frame Of Mind

See, when I interviewed Johnny at his studio we debated asking him the deal behind DK7 and why he wasn't on it, but we decided not to as we didn't want to run the risk of pissing him off especially since he had been so hospitable to us.

I Don't Think Its Ever Been Said That He 'didnt Like His Production' Thats Just Said To Make Some Kind Of Tension It Was Just In That Time He Wanted Some Shit Different From His Last Work Obviously. ORIGINALLY ESPECIALLY NOT FIT W/ HIS APPROACH ON MAKAVELI

Makaveli was originally not suposed to B an album, right? I heard about a street cd.
Perhaps therefore he don't want New Style JJ prod on it, he wanted some more deep and dark shit to drop all his feelings (notice that lots of adlibs & diss were cuted off) in order to perfectly fit his thoughts.

For the rivalty between DPG & Outlawz, I really think it had to do with the coming of Tupac and his click at DR; everybody know that lights turn quickly on 'pac & his click (used to B on Snoop & co who began to get real hype); not to mention that Suge ordered to 'help 'pac the much they can' (for example, the beats).

If u really care, u'll C that pac did not collaborte with Daz as with Kurupt
