So I'm in London on my way to my cousins house before we leave for Canada tour tomorrow.....walking up the street he lives in with my suitcase and these two cunts block my pathway, pull out knives and hold them to my stomach threatening to stab me, trying to get me to give them my wallet and bag.....one of them even tried to reach into my pocket to grab my wallet but I blocked him and told them I wasn't giving anything up.

Don't know whether I was brave or stupid, but I didn't give anything over and they were about to stab me when I managed to quickly run around the side of a parked car whilst attempting to reason with them. I saw a man on the street through my peripheral vision, so I think that's why they didn't try to chase me...they just dashed out of there.

The guy that saw what happened called the cops and I just had to tell them what happened. Doubt they'll catch the fuckers, but I'm OK. Was shaken at first, had some brandy at my cousins house and I'm OK now.

Fuckers. Ruined my evening. Still - I escaped without getting hurt, and without losing any of my possessions. I think they probably just expected me to hand my stuff over when I saw the knife, but shit, I'm from the streets myself and even when I'm weaponless and carrying heavy bags, I'm not about to be punked for my stuff.

Just opportunists - noticed I had heavy bags and assumed I was an easy target. Fuck them.

I am still a little bit shaken up. But I don't have any time to worry about it, the tour starts tomorrow and there's still a million things to do.

Yeah I had that happening to me a few times in the past. I was lucky that nothing serious happened but I lost a phone that way twice as there was nothing I could do and I pretty much valued my life.
Also a friend of mine got stabbed over a wallet. At the hospital they told him that really a lot of situations like this end with death, most when people try to fight back. I didn't want to push my luck after I've heard that.

It was probably DJ Manny and Jurham. Good to hear you're okay. Yeah, an experience like that can shake you up for a few days. Just keep yourself busy with the tour and don't go over this in your mind more than, say, twenty times.

My G1's pathetic battery life might have saved it from getting stolen. The first thing they said to me was asking me for the time, saying both their batteries were dead on their phones. My G1 battery actually had died 5 minutes prior, so I told them that my battery was dead which was when they pulled the knife.

Afterwards I realised they were just trying to get me to take my phone out of my pocket. Had my battery not been dead, I might well have pulled it out to check the time.

Be careful dude. My best friend died for a cell phone (with no minutes on it) and a wallet with $7 in it, and she willfully gave it up.

Fucked up how you can be planning events for the coming months and end up within a minute in a situation where none of that might even matter. Life has a fucked up way of manifesting itself at times...

Glad to hear you're okay though. Have there been talk of other people getting held up by two guys in that area before?

As for your G1 ... What can't Android do? Not only is it an amazing OS it saves lives too. THANKS GOOGLE FOR SAVING MY E-BUDDY.

How did you reason with them?
He was like: "You guys are either brainwashed or too fucking stupid to think for yourselves. You've never evaluated any moral choice other than the way your parents raised you. Mindless, idiotic drones."

"You know, I believe you're right. Come on, mate, let's go purchase some Swami CDs."

lucky that you got out of that situation unscathed ... a few years ago i got robbed by 3 Gypo's on the way home from work, they took my wallet and my bike and i escaped while climbing over a bush onto a busy main road while screaming 'thug life!'

Similar thing happened to me when I was like 12, two guys with a knife and a rope. My brother had the same attitude as you and luckily they were all talk.
