I Must Have Made It....

I think as a struggling artist, going through Art School I sometimes wonder when I know I'm on the right track.. Do I know I've made it when people pay hundreds or maybe thousands of dollars for my work? When every gallery in the country would happily display my work? No, no, no.. This is nothing compared to the robbery of an image I drew years ago and posted on an artist website that then wound up on a random forum where it was posted as drawn by not me but a little kid named Hakeem from California (SiGh?)

My Tupac Drawing (correct forum now) - OpenTibia Fans

I posted as utheif (fuck I spelt thief wrong..) I blame the anger..

The actual drawing was stolen from Jessica Hinsliff | Artwork Portfolio | ArtWanted.com

I don't get it.. Does this little wanker actually believe people are complimenting HIS work? I'm so confused right now..

and LOL @ you replying to an almost 3 year old thread. I know you're mad...what can you do though? It's flattering in a psychotic way.

Yeah I know its 3 years old but I had to reply to it.. I couldn't let people continue to be fooled by this guy.. He's a sad human being.. This is the second time this has happened with a 2pac drawing/painting I've done.. Atleast that I know about..

I'm not exactly sure.. The website I posted the image on has a copyright underneath it.. I'm sure if I was that concerned about it I could, costing me money I'm sure.. He's not profiting from it other than psychologically and if that's what it takes to keep this guy from shooting up his science class, I'll deal with it in my own little way.

Unless you somehow copyrighted your own art there really isn't much you can do. From a justice/law point of view, he could technically get away with copyrighting your art.

That's what I figured.. I'm not THAT upset, to actually put that kind of effort into pursuing it legally, I after all have the original which if I do turn out to be some super duper famous artist he wont rate a mention.. hehe I win. :noworry:

There is something known as "Protection of Intellectual Property" that protects artists, authors, screen play writers, musicians etc.
