an the Isrealies dont make the Palestinians life a living hell daily?????? Anyone remember what started the uprising in 94??? An Isreali walking into the domeof the rock mosque an murrdering 50 people during Jumah Salat (friday prayer) but im sure it was justified cause lord knows Isreal would never do anything wrong.

I like the way bush thinks, no possiblity of Iran or any other country in that region having nuclear power and in this case for powerplants not NUKEs, and if they do they'll get bombed........ instead of trying to govern this shit the go straight to threats.

See, there's not really anything wrong with thinking like this. People can approve their nation going gung-ho concerning foreign policies and even encourage it, but then problems such as uprisings in occupied areas, foreign tensions and eventually things as fullblown terrorism, have to be accepted as being partly your own doings.

Duke, next you will be saying that north korea has the right to have nukes haha,, its just common sense mate,, if we lived in your world, we would probably be bombed by now. Yeah we'll just allow any country to make nukes, is that what your saying? Think about why theres such an uproar about some countries having nukues,, now go tell a south korean that north koreans should be allowed to have nukes, i'm sure they'll be impresed.

Although i dont take Duke/Rukas idea that those countries should have nucs, i also dont think America or any nation state should have any...no one country should posses that power really, all Western nucs should be handed to the UN or some other international body - they should only be used in extreem mesures, not in retaliation or for a quick victory.

But since nothing like that is gonna happen i still dont think NK should have wepons, and i wouldnt like to see Iran with any.

Right. I don't WANT to see NK or Iran with nukes, probably just as Ruk. wont be thrilled if they would have them, but when America is drowning in nuclear weapons, why can't they? I can see NK's point. US has been pursuing an agressive foreign policy lately, there has even been talk of using nuclear weapons (small ones, "pocket nukes") on the battlefield again, so if I was NK i'd get myself some nukes too.

I agree with a nations right to protect itself, and i dont agree America should be allowed them either, no country should!
i think we think the same thing, except i dont go as far as to say if one can have it, why cant the other? its to dangerous to my mind! Id rather eliminate nucs to create a balance of power - not give everyone them! even if we are left with a strong superpower with no moral grounding in reality at all!

True, that would be ideal. But we'd have to accept that the US won't give up it's nukes. Neither will Russia nor will any country with nuclear weapons.

That is kinda my point - the balance of power with nucs at the min means that they are only realistically used as a 'threat', if all were to have some they would be used as much more than a threat - they would become wepons of war! the current situation stinks, but the other situation stinks an awfull lot more!
But yeah i agree - not one country with nucs will give them up!
