Is Anyone Else Concerned?

About the lack of information we have on the upcoming release? I hope that they are just withholding information for now cause the last album, LTTG, was put together by Em in 3 days. There's essentially 4 months between now and the anticipated release date and for a project that's slated to celebrate the 10th anniversary of 2Pac's death, there better be a significant increase in effort, dedication, and heart put into this album. I'm not sure how long it took previous posthumous releases to be put together but i'm assuming it would have taken a month or two preceeded by quite a bit of planning.

it's how it always is... you don't hear anything confirmed for a year and then suddenly a release slaps you in the face.

Yeah, that's how it always is. We get bits and pieces of information and then it goes dead, and all of a sudden it gets released.

I remember Amaru released details about LTTG only a little while before it was released so this will probably be the same.

I'm not expecting anything amazing this time, I really have lost faith in them to release good material cos if you look at all the Pac albums they've put out, each one is worse than the last.

Have a little faith Nick, Better Dayz was a great album in my opinion which really only leaves one fuck up. I'm hoping for them to redeem and continue the legacy with this album. We'll see what happens though.

I recall the promotionof RUSD, and even though it was somewhat weak, it was still greater then UTEOT, Sir, BedderDayz, and lttg. I still remember waiting to hear do for love on the radio, that's the only PH release I heard about on the radio first.

Faith does not make miracles in this case.I lost all my faith to hear very good album after LTTG and it sucks that we can't get any confrimed details but it's how it always is,just like you guys said be4.Now I'd be very happy to hear sth close to BD or UTEOT but please no messing, editing wit Pac's voice and no more Em.

yea from what i remember LTTG official tracklist wasnt given till 22nd oct. thats about 7 weeks before the album dropped. so they'll probably release the tracklist late july or perhaps later :thumb:

We need some optimism although i understand why everyone is weary of this release. To be fair, LTTG consisted of quite a few sub-par tracks which were probably scrapped projects to begin with. I'm not defending the final product but even though Em and Amaru fucked up pretty badly, the tracks on it weren't that great to start with. With that said, i'm crossing my fingers and hoping this is a successful year for 2Pac. Also, Think_Thuglife is right, Amaru needs to get their shit together on the marketing part. They should release the best single they have on the upcoming cd atleast 3 weeks to a month before the album drops to generate some hype.

I'm not saying that all the stuff they've put out it shit, but imo each release has got weaker and weaker (apart from Better Dayz which was better than UTEOT).

RUSD was a great album imo

Still I Rise was pretty good with quite a few tracks close to the OG's production-wise however the removal of verses ruined it

UTEOT was abit disappointing, production moved further away from the OG's plus some pathetic guest appearances

Better Days was better than UTEOT but still had similar problems

LTTG....... well everyone knows what went wrong there.

So if you look at it, each new album seems to be worse than the last, and I'm left thinking to myself, I should have been more greatful when Still I Rise, UTEOT & Better Days were released.

We can only hope that it'll be good.
Dont hold your breath, you would think they might get their shit together after that last fuck up but some people never learn,
I learned that im downloading the entier next album to make sure i dont waste a penny on some shit ill listen to once, if by some small chance its good, then ill pay.
Hell, if they get their shit right and its a GOOD album ill buy 20 copys just to make them some extra money.
