I'm sitting here just in complete shock and at a loss for words.

I'm trying to find out whether it's true, short of actually calling his number myself, I'm doing all I can. I hate to be cynical, but I can't trust Thug Life Army as a source given that they and Johnny have not been on good terms as of late.

If it's true.......I can't fucking believe it. Johnny never once struck me as the kind of person that would or could do this. He was as hospitable as possible and went way beyond to call of duty to give us what we wanted when we interviewed him at his studio, we kicked it for hours both before and after the interview, he played us tracks, signed a bunch of stuff, even gave us a ride to Roscoe's afterwards too. I never once caught anything but strong, positive vibes from him. He certainly didn't seem unhappy, he was clearly doing very well professionally, he seemed to have a great relationship with his wife who was also there at the studio, he seemed very positive about his future music plans. I'm just in shock right now not wanting to believe this is true.

^^ I agree I don't ever believe anything that comes from that site until posted elsewhere to be honest and I am sitting here thinking this is just some ones idea of a sick joke and until it is somehow elsewhere confirmed I have yet to actually believe he really did such a thing.

Johnny Jackson, better-known in the music industry and in hip hop circles as Johnny "J", a multi-platinum songwriter, music producer & former rapper, committed suicide in the LA County jail Oct. 3rd.

The hip hop producer who is perhaps best known for his production on Tupac Shakur's (2Pac) albums All Eyez on Me and Me Against the World was born in Juárez, Mexico, in 1969 and raised in South Central Los Angeles by his adopted parents whom his father Is African American and his mother is Mexican-American.

Johnny "J" ran Klock Work Entertainment and had worked with many hip hop, rap and R&B artists over his career.

The hip hop producer Johnny “J” also helped hip hop rapper Candyman become the first hip hop rapper On Epic Records to go platinum with his work on the classic track Knockin' Boots.

Early reports are that the hip hop notable jumped off a tier in the jail causing his death the night of Oct. 3rd. He was in the county jail on a dui charge.

Johnny leaves his wife and 2 children.

RIP Johnny “J”. You and 2Pac are again together again. Thanks for all the music.

Well.....I've heard from a few different sources now that this is true. I'm in total shock. I didn't even know he was in jail - I had planned to call him soon.

RIP Johnny 'J'......c u when i get there. Thanks for everything you did for us when we came to see you at your studio, I'll never forget it. Now you'll be with all the people you had pictures of in your 'dedication room' - 'Pac, Big, Selena, Left Eye, Aaliyah, Big Pun, Roger........

I'll miss you man.

I really couldn't believe this when i got home last night and i read the messages that people left me. First thing that crossed my mind was that it was fake but unfortunately it's true... I really can't believe this happened and im not too content on him committing suicide. I've already heard a few people mention a few things which leads me to believe theres more that isn't being mentioned....RIP Johnny J, you are one of the people that inspired some of my work in music.
