Pac's worst effort on a song?

#3
I always assumed that his guest appearences were below average with regards to the quality of his lyrics due to his lack of control over the song. Jeaslous got me strapped was pretty bland to me. Tight beat, but his part was boring. Same thing with dusted and disgusted.

It don't stop
I'm boxing motherfucker wit my glock, shhiiitt
always been a penny as henny as nigga,

I feel those lines with a passion. I randomly recite those lyrics to myself out of nowhere. jealous got my strapped has me going bananas whenever I hear pac's part. I just feel his passion greatly on that.

Let's Get It On with Biggie, Heavy D and the Untouchables. His verse is so unenthusiastic on there, I can't even stand to listen to that song... except for DJ Rizzle's remix. :):thumb:

I'm sure he put effort into the song but I personally think "16 On Deathrow" is one of Pac's worst songs. It's a deep song but hearing shit like "My uncle used to touch me" and "You could hear his asshole getting torn" just makes me wanna turn it off immediately.
Are you squeamish or something?

he sounds like he put alot of effort into those verses, thats alot different from his lack of energy on dusted in disgusted

Squeamish? No. I just prefer not to hear stories about guys getting raped in their ass. Same reason I don't listen to BIG when he starts saying shit like "You look so good I'll suck on your daddy's dick."
What Biggie said was just gay, Pac was telling a story... he's saying he can hear other people being raped, and obviously, children get molested all the time and can't do anything about it, Pac's not talking about sucking the dick of a hot female's father.

Dusted N Disgusted in my opinion, although it was just a guest track and he still managed to outshine the untalented E-40

I agree dust n disgusted not a great effort on pac's part. But I don't think E-40 is untalented, especially compared to what is out today. Have you checked out Mail Man? Dope album.

if i can handle waitin for Tupac on Dusted & Disgusted, then hearin him isnt too bad, he flows unusually kinda muffling himself, the verse aint nothin special..i just cant stand e-40 aka Hobble-rock

Yeah, I messed up on that line. but what the hell are you looking for in your raps. A punchline in every line or something. I'm just feeling his delivery and flow on that song.

I never look for punchlines in Pac's music, and I didn't even mind Jealous Got Me Strapped, its not a bad song.
