which y'all think is betta the released version or the the other take, which some of y'all might know as the OG. To me the other take is illl, id luv to have this track more than any other OG :(.

I like the released because it sounds like "The Anthem". The two songs that seem anthemy to me are Thug 4 Life and R U Still Down. When Pac says "Raise Em Up!", I feel special. The beat is better too. Although I love the OG cause Pac sounds like he's singing, but the Girl on it just sings for TOO LONG! Who is that woman anyways?

it's not just the public rip, the singer on the crystal quality og is off key and all pitchy. the beat is grimy, but pretty weak as far as a retail release could go. very demo-y. i liked what they did with the released, but an inclusion of the missing verse on a different mix (like the presence of two iwihgag mixes) would have been nice.

and eri - you're not special. you're canadian.

I love tha "other" take of R U Still Down. Kills tha RUSD version IMO. Tha beat on tha "other" version is sick. It's definately one of my favorite pre DR songs.

Are you guys talkin about the verse that goes:
"I never had a father figure
I was raised by the thugs and the drug dealers"

Yep, that's it. It has a complete different beat than tha released.

"I neva had a fatha figga, I was raised by tha thugs and tha drug dealas, that's why I love niggas"

Well they both have 2 completely dissimilar feelings to them. The released one is more of get up and do something, “I don’t give a fuck” “fuck these hoes” kind of feel. The other take has a depressing, hopeless, doomed type feel. It seems he’s pouring his heart out more with this version .As if nothing is going the way it’s supposed to be and its him against the world.

I actually like both a lot, no complaints with Amaru lol. However I do find myself listening to the “OG” or the “other take” more then the released version.
