Responsibility

Do you have any?

Is it too much or too little? Why is that?

What can you do to improve the situation? What got you into the situation?

The reason I ask is because I see a lot of people that wish they had more responsibility, yet they don't even take care of what the little things they do.

Then, I see people with too much, wishing they had a little less, but at the end of the day, it's not even that much responsibility.

Do you think a stress management class would help a specific individual?

I think I have a lot of "duties" to my family, but luckily, it's a life-long goal, not so much a short-term goal. Like making money just to stay alive, sick family member, etc. I feel for those people. Actually, maybe I don't. As in I don't know what they're going through.

In due time, though. I know it'll come. :(

Why do you ask?

Stress management? A friend and I were discussing stress. Like anger, we felt it was an emotion, not so much a disorder. And if you are strong enough, you can control your emotions, or just your reactions in general. So stress-management classes? Sure. I think it may need to be broadened to something like "reaction management" because it isn't always stress that's the emotion that ruins people.

I mainly asked in general to see what people thought, and threw that question about my friend to see what you guys thoought about that too.

Reaction management is a good one. Never thought of that, I'll tell that to him.

i have many responsibilities as a volunteer for 2 organisations, and then similar to those above, within a family environment and then of course helping others and working. im still trying to take on more.

these responsibilities may differ from most people here. in the past two years ive done less housework and stuff around the house. i will be doing more of that when i leave work next week and have the weekends free. and i enjoy it all.

Ha. It's definitely Shadows Day. I like your threads though. I can picture you looking around your place, saying, "hmmm, should I make a thread about the TV? No, too boring. The fridge? No, nothing to say about that. Hmmmm. Boy I wish I didn't have all this responsibility. Bingo! That is SO the thread. I hate taxes too. BANG! Thread number 2!"

Anyway, yeah, my life is filled with responsibility. The big ones are my wife and daughter, followed closely by getting up at 4 every morning and going to work. They're tied pretty closely together. I like being busy though; idle hands and all that nonsense, you know?

^ Me too. Sometimes Ristol writes down a post that makes me lmao in front of my computer. A sophisticated and not offensive humor, but funny.
