scandalous 'HIGHER LEARNING' (1995)....this would have been Pac's greatest role !

For everybody who didnt watch Higher Learning , go check it. John Singleton directed it, its from beginning of 1995 and I was shocked by the movie, its 2 hours authentic US college life with some dramatical exaggerations here and there perhaps.
BUT (as can be seen http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113305/): TUPAC was supposed to play the main role, here played by Omar Epps. But Pac was jailed at that time, so they had to go for someone else. I cant believe how tragic that is. Pac missed a major part in 'Menace 2 Society' already, but THIS right here would have been his biggest role ever (look how much work Omar Epps must have put into this!) : imagine the audience, many many US folks would have watched it, and I'm 10% sure his reputation would have become better ala 'wooow, that rapper dude is an fukin AMAZING actor'. I'm convinced that this role so magnificently thought out by John Singelton would have been much more challenging for Pac than all of his other roles as in 'Above The Rim', 'Gang Related' etc....and Pac would have coped with it for sure...too bad too bad he missed that major role....who knows if that had re-directed hsi entire movie career. Sigh*

Im suprised to not see Pac even on the O.S.T., does anyone know if they removed him of there,too? Ice Cube, who is also in the movie and who plays a magnificent role, is featured on the CD.

Yea,i got the dvd. I listened to the commentary, and John said Pac had to be dropped from the role by Warner Brothers because of his constant controversy in his life and the media. But yeah, everytime I watch this movie, its kinda hard to see how Pac would've acted along side, Laurence Fishburne, Ice Cube, Busta Rhymes, Tyra Banks and the rest. This movie is hella tight (even though there are a few exaggerations involving those Aryan dudes and Cube's click mostly)

I recommend this to everybody
