I got this from 'Makaveli Revised Limited Edition CD' and this (below) comes from the second track. It's Tupac Commenting on the whole Manhatten shooting and the people involved. I don't know how popular it is but the recording is taken as like part of a conversation rather than that of an interview. Don't suppose anyone knows who Pac is talking with in this convo.
"... I got shot on the east coast I'm like 'fuck the east coast'. Half the rappers from the east coast was there when I got shot and nobody knew a thing. That's just like when you go into the hood and the police ask em what happened, and everybody go like 'I don't know'. You know they lying! And all I was doing was like, 'give me my proper etiquette'. If Biggie was out here on the west coast and he was in the studio with me, and we homeboys and he got shot. You know I wouldn't tell him who did it, but he wouldn't go/ I wouldn't go riding on the niggaz who did it, but even wanna know who did it. Then I'd be like 'look man, these niggaz from ( ... ? ...) they wanna talk to you, where, where, where?' - that's how I'd do it. Just like the niggaz from the 60's wanted to get Treach (?), I went to 'em personaly and talked to 'em. I'd do it by the rules of etiquette. So, I got shot - I'm like yo, what happened? Come see me in jail'. Biggie all on the air talking about 'yeah Pac, it's my homeboys rule (?)', but not seeing me. My homeboy Streach is going to Biggies concerts, niggaz is like abandoning me. But all in the air and on TV it'd be like 'Yeah Pac ... rest you know... keep the struggle going' I'm like 'yo, i'm starting to turn into like Slick Rick!' Niggaz is just going to act like I'ma just like be in jail an' they gon' get me shot out and try and take my position. And if you watch that's what Biggie did! Listen to his, I... I... I was there nigga I trained the nigga, he used to be under me like my lieutennant, the nigga. I used to come to New York, I used to do shows and let the nigga come off before I got Keep Your Head Up and Get Around, because nobody knew the nigga and he knew it. And I used to tell the nigga: 'Yo, if you wanna make your money, you gotta rap for the bitches, do not rap for the niggaz. I told him this, do not rap for the niggaz, rap for the bitches. The bitches 'll buy your records and the niggaz 'll want what the bitches want. So all of a sudden he changed from being... Listen to his party and bullshit, listen to his style. He changed form that to Big Poppa, because of me. Me, yeah, my album MATW was the second one. He had the person (?) changed everything 'coz Ready to Die came out and it sounded like my album. All my album was about you know, dealing with death, and when he cam out with R2D I had the switches."
