Tupac is Overrated

#22
I've had this argument so many times with my boys... I'm the only Pac fan in my clique.. The rest just think hes 'iight'.. Usually the only time an argument goes down is if I'm driving, got Pac on, and someones like "Yo put on that _______ cd" and I'm like "nah, f@@@ that"...

The word overrated is overrated. :) Use that and tell them how can they label someone overrated when its all personal opinion and being overrated just means that rapper has more fans than they (your friends) would like, tough cookies.

The last thing you should do is shutup about it if they bring it up. Letting them have their way and you not saying nothing is sort of like a contribution. If a black person was to be in a room and have white people clowning the black race, if the black person was to not defend his race, then that is also a contribution.

You got to let them realize that pac is so great because no one has the body of work he has-meaning a whole lot of quality in his quantity and that no other mc rhymes from the heart. If your friends are the type of friends that like 50 & D-Block, then make a cd full of hard pac songs that they can relate to. If they like deep songs, then make a cd full of deep pac songs. If u and your friends are in your teens, I suggest you play more hard/raw pac songs since most teens like agression. Whenever they are in your car or whether they come over to your house, you have it blasting until they get tired of the songs.

You have to put people who think pac is overrated onto songs that may not be as popular or songs that they might not be familiar with. If your friends aren't up too much on pac, I suggest you put away the more popular singles such as Changes, Keep Ya Hed Up, & Dear Mama away.

Songs like, Troublesome, Who Do You Believe In, Hit Em Up, Ambitionz Az A Ridah, Thug Style, Lil Homies OG, This Life I Lead OG, Life As A G OST & OG, High Till I Die.

agreed stand up for pac. Couple of points you can make, ie statistically.
- Pac is the highest selling rapper of all time.
- He was the first great big name rapper and created the path for all the others that are in the game at the moment.
- Every rapper out there copies pac to some degree
50 <- gangster image (called the next 2pac before he got big)
Em <- brings his personal life to his raps and attempts to be controversial although pac was naturally.
Ja rule <- tatoos, style or that shit.
etc.
- Pac has more impersonators than any other rapper or modern singer/rapper.
- Majority of rappers out there agree pac is the best of all time (there is information on this in a post last year search for it).
- pacs music that comes out now (his scraps) are still better than the trash others bring out.

Don't be afraid to talk shit either lol. Keep up the good work.

that's really more of a personal opinion than it is a good argument. i get what you're saying though.

i'm a cynical bastard. i'm careless too. i don't really give a shit and i choose not to make such a big deal about it. i listen to tupac, my friends do whatever they do, doesn't mean we won't have fun when we watch a good movie or go out to get drunk. i've never once got into an argument over pac and i never plan to.
