Woody does.

A couple of my friends do.

I’d like to get into it but I’m old school and like cigarettes, or shisha.

I did smoke cigs intermittently the first few months after starting back in February of 2015 but since that summer, I've been 99% tobacco-free. Cheated once and had a Wine Black and Mild, but that was celebratory.

Had a few misses with some shit, cheap systems but ended up getting a set up I liked and now I really don't miss smoking at all.

I wish more conclusive data was out that proves it helps smoking cessation and may be relatively "healthier" than tobacco, but nothing concrete as yet. After seeing so many patients that struggle with quitting smoking, some even after developing severe COPD and are on O2 tanks or even after strokes really makes me want to suggest vaping to them to at least take a step towards quitting.

But I feel like we've hit peak vaping now that Juul has made its way into mainstream trends and now people are looking to suing Juul for getting them addicted to vaping lol. I wonder if it just gets a bad rap in the next few months and no matter what research says 5 years from now, people will still attach a stigma to vaping to quit smoking tobacco.

Yup, I completely stopped smoking thanks to vaping. Cold turkey, didn't even realize. Smoked for way over 10 years.

I mix my own stuff, and now I use the iStick Pico. I was against the larger mods, but I grew to appreciate the quality and its settings.

I’ve never vaped but know a few people who do.

Never been into cigarettes either. I am sometimes a social smoker, but alcohol must be involved. I luckily never got addicted to it. It does nothing for me

Usually I use a Juul mainly because it doesn't look like an ecig, I use a salt nic (stock is 50mg) I went to 40 then used 24. Buy juice from the interwebs most stores are expensive, at least where I live.

It makes the drinking experience better, for sure. I haven’t gotten drunk in years but I have a feeling that if I did, I’d smoke a cigarette instead of vaping.

Yeah Juul is the new, hip brand that everyone is using. I think it’s a bad thing that non smokers are picking it up as a trend, especially younger kids. What’s even dumber is they use the nicotine free version and that just defeats the purpose, unless you are an ex smoker trying to quit.

Well I am not a kid, but I do agree that Juul's don't look like what you would expect a traditional ecig would look like, so it doesn't stand out. I have been a smoker for years, and I have quit for a few months and I found myself "missing" something, it was the holding a cig putting it to my mouth, instead I ate junk food, so that maybe why people go ahead and use a non nicotine juice. You gotta figure in a smokers brain that action of smoking is a rather soothing one.

Yeah I figured we were all in our late-20s and older here. I was speaking more to the younger crowd that has picked up vaping, right when tobacco usage has been at its lowest.

And yeah, I miss the action of smoking, so I still understand 0% nicotine usage by ex-smokers.

yup it's sad like I am a smoker I started when I was a kid, and unfortunately an ecig makes it easier for that younger crowd. There was a point where I used to chew and smoke all at the same time, nicotine is hard to give up too, I haven't been able to do it.

20 years from now....

VAPERS: "I can't believe vaping causes all these diseases."

ME: "I can."

Yeah, that's a thought at the back of my mind, too. It's certainly not harmless but it seems it's not as bad as tobacco. But we also only have such a short time interval for samples and it may take years to pop up, much like tobacco did.

Well I am sure that there are health issues which we might not even think of and we will start to find out in 15-20 years from now, that's just how it works a company pushes out whatever before a full study can be done, and of course it isn't a medicine so it's even less scrutiny. That said I heard of a study where nicotine therapy is used for alzheimers.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3466669/
https://www.alzdiscovery.org/cognitive-vitality/ratings/nicotine

I guess this falls under the "replacement disease theory" you know you get the cold and a doctor injects you with SARS so the cold isn't a big deal then to replace the SARS they give you Alzheimers, as to forget the SARS, from there they give you cancer by having you smoke day and night, then AIDS then to replace that then they give you Ebola, if you make it past that then Simian Foamy Mouth Virus then you die. :D

I might have to start making my own juice like Masta suggested. The juice I like is now $25 for 60 ml and I blow through it within 2 weeks, or so. Also, it's only 6mg of nicotine, vs the 24 I was used to on my old juice.

But it looks like you'll need to buy some equipment first to mix the stuff in. And the time to properly calculate proportions of juice and flavor and nicotine.

But it got expensive fast when I switched juices and the set up

I pay $20 AUD for 30ml of juice with 12mg of nicotine. That usually lasts me a week and a half to 2 weeks.

So it turns out JUUL doesn't make a nicotine free product. I thought they did so they could get the underage crowd hooked on the flavor until they were of age.

JUUL only makes one strength and it's 50mg of nicotine lol wtf

Now 0% nictoine juices make sense. I knew they were for people trying to slowly wean themselves off nicotine but turns out companies aren't marketing it to get people to start vaping, which is what I originally thought they were doing.

I got a few different strength coils. Or resistance, rather. Stock was 0.6 and it lasted well over two weeks for me and it was great. Went to a 1.0 and that burned out in a little less than two weeks. Got a 0.5 and that just straight up hurts sometimes and definitely makes me cough if I'm not careful.

Looks like the 0.6 is the sweet spot for me and my eGo.

Still really loving this Red's Apple Juice with mint berries flavor. I'm not inclined to try anything else now because it works so well.

It used to be for me, then I dropped to 0.3. Then I started mixing my own juices and gradually went from 0.18 to ~0.1-0.12 depending on flavors. The negative is that at the beginning I wanted to vape more to compensate.

This was for your eGo? I didn’t realize they made coils that changed by the hundredths. I was only familiar with 0.5, 0.6, 1.0, and 1.1 for the Joyetech. I feel like the hundredths are just splitting hairs but did you notice a huge difference?
