I think the Art of War by Sun Tzu and the Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli but I think he had already read them before, but he was re-exploring them and gaining further inspiration.I'm sure he read many more also, he was in there a long time and had a strong hunger for knowledge, he probably caught up on a lot of reading in the pen.
