let me tell you what i fell in love with.. & whats hiphop to me
-onyx droppin dumb shit.. -shifty, lowdown, greedy & GRIMEY!
..rhymes -that didnt even have to rhyme, like mobb deep
-talkin bout bloody sheets, shoot outs, and mad beef
..while sneakin on my tapes was CREAM from the chamberz
-back when we all thought meth's rhymes were the craziest
-never lame shit, always left me noddin' with a smile
..then dre & snoop came along -with doggystyle..
& for a while.. i was really on a that 'west coast' tip
everything was dope -my walkman full of cube's shit
-that smooth shit, till my ears moved back to the east
-nas & illmatic -when i first heard it, i couldnt speak!
..indeed, it was the deepest shit i ever heard in my life
+then pac crept in my ear, and blew my fuckin mind!
while at the same time, bone crept into the other
-a mixtape my friend made of E'99 and creepin on a come up
-"not enough ..tapes man!" -this was my blank-tapes crysis!
..cypress was my first cd -it was that mad hype shit..
-grimey rhymes, the III temples..-my favourite album ever
..then xzibit came in 96.. which seemed 2 be the end of that era.
-i'll never forget it, and i've been craving it ever since..
I wish i could go back to then -man, i just wish they never went.

I like it. I never liked MobDeep neigther, but that stuff about the west and all, I feel that - cause for me hiphop kinda died back then in 96 u know - I barley listen to new artists.

thanks guys, yeah not many people on this board seem to have to much love for Mobb....fair enough considering hehe... but i used to love that grimey shit (still do)....thats why onyx were the shit to me, but nobody really gives em the credit they deserve...thats really why i wrote this peice..
