Writers for the Tupac Biopic wrote "Ali" and "Nixon"

So I got excited when I read that far.... I liked those movies and thought to myself that this is going to be great because it seems that this is going to be a big budget production..... But as I continued to read and got to the quotes from a writer, I was very disappointed..... Not only are they going make him look like a "romantic" trying to be "gangsta", but they are going to go with the Suge theory or some form of that scenario.... They think the reason he was killed was because he was leaving his record label.....

The good news is they are not done writing yet so maybe they will change the direction, because if the go that way with it, Pac fans won't stand for it..... I heard Kastro in an interview saying he didn't support it because it wasn't involving the family..... They better consult the family or something, because if they do run with the Suge thing, this may get held up by a lawsuit from Suge....

anyway here's the article
A New Tupac Shakur Biopic Will Answer Why He Was Killed, If Not By Whom -- Vulture

You are jumping to conclusions, it is not necessarily saying Deathrow was behind it but that the people he was involved with, which includes much more than what is exclusive to DR. But a justifiable conclusion and it may be where they go with it. The fact that the writer knew nothing about him until he started researching for this movie is what brings sweat upon my brow.

Yeah.... It may turn out great.... But I hope they actually consult with people close to the situation that are reliable.... But considering the fact that he knew nothing and is talking about Pac getting killed for leaving, it kind of sounds like he has not dug very deep..... But thar is another assumption, hell they may uncover some new info..... Just wait and see I guess

That's the same structure as Notorious.

Don't do that. Just tell the man's story. Show us what he saw briefly as a child, a teenager and how his character was at odds with that.

If he wasn't a gangster but people around him were and the industry demands etc... show his struggle to get his truth out, the resistance to that and how that culminates in his tragic demise.

Everybody knows the end already... it doesn't need to be foreshadowed or loom over the rest of his life story. That makes his assassination the focus when the focus should be on the man's soul.
