December sucks.

It's cold as fuck. The weather is shit, grey, cloudy, rainy, etc.

Everybody's super stressed out over some bullshit lame ass holiday than only lasts 24 hours yet somehow needs 6+ weeks of buildup.

2009 has been a shitty, shitty, shitty year and I just want it to be over already so I can embrace the new decade, which I can already feel is going to be the greatest decade of all time.

My theory is that loads of shit stuff had to happen in 2009 in order for the 10's decade to be totally fucking awesome.

December sux0rz.

I don't care for Christmas much. I can safely say I have not bought a present for anyone in the past 10 years. I will continue this tradition this year also. So quite frankly I will relax as everyone else panics :thumb:

Like every other month really :D

I like December, I really do.
We have almost 2 weeks off, it's snowing outside (while november is grey and terrible), the whole xmas marketing creates a nice xmas vibe. There's Xmas music and all these cheesy lights everywhere, everybody seem to be happy. I dislike buying presents for everyone and spending those few days at home eating xmas food. However I really enjoy the time before Christmas.
I like December.

Do others buy you presents?

I love this time of year, i honestly think i'd rather be in the UK than anywhere this time of year. Dark at 4pm , i love it. I certainly dont get stressed out thats for sure. Obviously when you grow up xmas aint really about you anymore its about the kids, sons daughters nieces and nephews.

i like the merriness, but i hate the grinches. i like the excitement and the build up but hate the stresses, expenses and all the rushing around. i like celebrating but hate the boring xmas day we're left with, love the snow around xmas time but hate when it doesnt snow and rains on xmas day.

...and something always goes wrong on xmas day in eastenders.

Christmas in Australia is entirely different weather-wise. It's sunny, stinkin hot, and perfect to hit the beach and get a tan.

Plus, I'm going to Thailand over Christmas and NYE so I'm extra happy about December :)

I think that Australia has the right idea about December.

And California has the right idea about July.

LOL.

It must be weird for Aussies who move here. I wonder how long it takes them to get used to it. I'll ask my friend Sam if it's weird to him, he's from NZ.

The only thing I like about this time are the great sales going on. I've already spend like $1000 on stuff for myself and gifts...for everyone on this board. $500 alone on Swami CDs.

Summer Christmas rockz.. A few years back I went to England just after Christmas and I could not believe it goes dark at 4 in the afternoon! That is just sad. Here we got the weather and it doesn't get dark til after 8.

The last few years we have done secret Santa with the family so it's taken the stress off X-Mas. This year we have a baby in the family so its gonna make it more interesting from now on hehe.. I like it, we always have fun.. Good times..

Plus as of tomorrow I am free for 2 months :D woot!
