Your Dream

I see many people giving up on their dream because people criticise them for trying. I see many people give up because of children or spouses that they ended up having.

I'm currently at a stand still from what I want to do, to what I can do.

I'm going to try both, but I also believe that if you have a back-up plan, you wont give one of them your all.

Because of society, or life changes, have you changed your dream?

What was your dream, and what are you doing now?

Our dreams have a shifting architecture, as we all know; where we seem to be has a way of shifting. My dream was to infiltrate the minds of other men to steal their ideas. Now I've been hired by a powerful billionaire to do the opposite: To introduce an idea into a rival's mind, and do it so well he believes it's his own. This has never been done before, but he made me an offer I can't refuse, one that would end my forced exile from my home and family.

So you see, I too, am at a stand still from what I want to do, to what i can do.

Jokerman's new dealer is good indeed. Either that or Jokerman has increased the dosage of whatever he was taking.

I've seen a lot of people abandon dreams b/c of kids.. it's happening to a really good friend of mines right now. She's a dancer, was recently picked to star in some show at the theater here (IDK the details and how it all works). Anyways.. she can't do it or decided not to b/c her kid has something going on that same week. Some lame project at school. This was something she'd wanted to do all of her life. LOL seems silly to me. *shrug* But priorities change. As people get older it seems to be synonymous with not dreaming or not having ideas/desires.. at least not until you're retired. You only get to be a person from like 16-24 and then again from 60-dead lol.

My dreams vary. I just want to be happy. I want to find a balance of doing whatever little thing that makes me happy and also continuing to be financially stable.

Has it ever occurred to you that maybe, just maybe, having a child changes your life so much that things like starring in a play seem petty and meaningless compared to a healthy relationship with your child?

Sometimes you are so fucking narcissistic that it drives me crazy. But at least you are honest.

Being a mom isn't for everyone. I have enough people depending on me without adding a child to the situation.

Yeah while I can picture raising my child being the most important thing for me in the future I just can't imagine it crushing all my personal hopes and dreams. It's a bit silly when people are doing that. There has to be a fair balance.

For a lot of people, personal hopes and dreams are love and raising a family. I completely understand that and would never think it's silly even though I can't picture myself raising a family even ten years from now.
