You know damn well I wasnt talking about McDonalds...

Thus this thread is NOT aimed at you.

Offtopic bullshit like this is what kills decent original threads and the board.
I win, but I'll drop this for the sake of the thread.

I love dining out. It's only as I've got older that I've been able to do it. However I don't do it that much these days, it's more of a couples thing, and I'm single.

When I did however I used to go to all sorts. We have a lot of good restaurants in my area, (windsor, UK), so there's never a shortage of choice. They are all very nice places too. My favourite is the Indian or the Chinese. But I also eat often at Japanese (suishi), Italian, Seafood restaurant and the local Home cooked English food places. But I also like to grab a Pizza or Fish and Chips too. Hmmm it's Lunch Time now. What to get for lunch?

I love oging to restraunts.
i have my favourites that i go to depending on what the occasion is. But Italian and Indian are always up there. Everyone does it but i really love my chicken parma (italian) and chicken ticka (indian). I'm a big chicken fan.
I do eat asian food, i like thai (if it's not too hot) and i LOVE going to Tepenyaki (sp?) restraunts (japanese), which they do cooking in front of you and they throw stuff at you. It's good fun, especially for a first date.

My stepsister works at a Mexican restaurant. They have really nice food and I like going there because I get special treatment.

Then there's this restaurant which has really weird Italian/Finnish crossover food. It's strange but I like the atmosphere and the food isn't bad either.

Also Nepalese restaurants, a Vietnamese restaurant (my mom knows the people who own it, so I get special treatment there as well) and um... Japanese restaurants for sushi and noodles.

There's a great arabian restaurant here, the food is very strange, but I like it cuz most people who go there are arabs, and you feel as if you were in another country.
And my favourite is Italian food, and luckily there are many pleces here if u wanna eat pasta. Last week I went to one with my family and we were taken to the VIP section, there was no more room in the other one, and it was great.

i am indian and i have to admit the food that they serve in restaurants is complete new to me. Its kind of like a westernised version of indian food and as a result people make up wierd dishes that are not authentic but what will please the normal punter. Don't get me wrong the food is at times great but its just different to real authentic indian food. For one thing the spices are different they make the food gimicky for instance they use tobasco sauce instead of real spices. Also everything is expensive- i don't mind i have got enough money its just you know its way to expensive If any of you travel to india and eat there you will immediatly taste the difference but then i guess that the westernisation effect is evident in every style of restaurant. For once i would love to go to an italian restaurant and not see 10 different types of pizza- what happened to different types of pasta's,cheeses.

I know what you mean, but I don't like authentic Indian food. Only the Westernised dishes.

i dont like shit. i could life off of pizza, taco, spaghetti and lasagna for the rest of my life. so naturally since we dont have any mexicans running shit in this town we dont got no taco places.. the lasagna and spaghetti you get in resturants usually sucks so i just go to pizza resturants and eat pizza lol. there are like 6-7 in my city so i just go whichever one sounds like a good idea when i decide where to go lol.
