being satisfied in life... in my work and everything between...i have to have the percs...life isnt life without the percs.

most important thing in life is to live it...i think thats the main inspiration here...to live life...ofcourse im going to have problems...but two things that i've come to grips with is that i dont want to die. and that life is good.

i want to live a full life....i want to die when im very old..not when i am young.

Nothing. Which is why I'm in the predicament that I'm in. I'm a lone wolf. And I'm apathetic about alot of things. I don't know if it's something to be proud about. Depression, frustration, no motivation. I should get a job at the airport.

"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."

"I can accept failure, I can't accept knowing I never tried."

- Michael Jordan.

Lots of things inspire me, a sunset may inspire a poem or a sad kid may inspire a song.

In day to day life... the desire to be what my parents wanted me to inspires me. My mom and others made A LOT of sacrifices for me... a lot! I mean, I can't imagine it's easy to pick up and leave family and friends to travel to a new country without speaking the language or having enough funds to do anything with. If they could do that for me... to make sure I had a better way of life... shouldn't I be able to in turn at least be as successful as they dreamed I could be? That's the least I can do.

Also, growing up without having much in the way of money or things makes me want to ensure that I never have to go without again. It sucks when food has to be rationed.. I don't know, just my background in general makes me determined to be financially dependent, have good credit, give back to the community, etc, etc. My life and the lives of those before me give birth to my everyday inspirations..

I wonder if that makes sense to anyone, lol

Well, me too. I'm often inspired by great films and great music and achievements of others. But, they're momentary inspirations. They don't last enough to make a significant impact on me.

So, the way I measure inspiration is when I have one day to study for an important final and it's a lot of work or a ten page paper and it's due in 15 hours. What propels me to put in serious time and study hard is what I consider REAL inspiration.

I don't think back to a Michael Jordan quote, (no offense to ray of course) and propel myself.

Yeah, I know what you mean by the momentary impacts.. but I mean I've seen things that seem insignificant at the time but have a lasting impact.

I.E.
I was on the WS of Chicago like 4 years ago with some friends at a little grease pit getting something to eat. There's this kid with his sister in the restaurant. It's a sweltering hot day and his sister (I know, I asked) is like 11 or so, she's young. He's like 3 or 4. He's dirty, in a soggy diaper and looks so ecstatic to be eating his french fries. He's sitting on the dirty floor of the restaurant while she stands against the wall watching him. I happened to snap a picture at a time when he was looking up at a great angle. I STILL have that picture and it's inspired so many poems and short stories I've done you have no idea. I even volunteered for a bit in the neighborhood after seeing that. IDK it just really stuck with me and some moments are like that. They're small but BIG.

Do you have any of those moments?
