Marines. A few LMGs would take out 5000 spartans in less than a minute. Pirates got inaccurate AK-47s and aren't as well trained.

Marines. The weaponry used by modern day soldiers are way too powerful for the bronze Spartans used (despite their amazing strength when in groups) ... Put those marines in a 2 line formation, 30 round clips. About every 2nd shot is a kill shot. That's a lot of dead Spartans. Now if they were face to face with Spartans, you'd be looking at a different fight, but since modern marines and military use a mix of tactics from old European martial arts and thensome, it maybe wouldn't be much a factor.

Somali pirates... well..they're Somalies running at you with AK 47s while having no type of military discipline... Obviously, they're dead.

100 x30 bullets in a clip = 3000 but they waste around 3 bullets for 1 spartan + some are misses = less than 1000 killed before reload. Other 4000 would already own their asses.

If the Spartans advance in a group (which they would) and close grouping which is the way they fought. Almost every bullet would be a direct hit from the marines, and these aren't pussy muskets, these are high powered m4 carbine rifles. It would melt through bronze and their shields. Not to mention, side arm pistols (prob a 45. cal) and frag and flash grenades to clean the way.

As much as I'd love to see Spartans rip through the pussies with the rifles, sadly, technology and disciplined marines would win.

you can fit over 90,000 people in a soccer stadium, and thats just in the seats.

Yes we use km here also.
Sure more people could fit there but not spartans, they are huge and have big weapons and move in fancy formations.
