Im not sayin Tarantino is the best, but he is brilliant.

From Dusk Till Dawn - the great thing about that movie was that it didnt even show any vampires or anything till towards the end, it got you to feel the characters and it seemed like a whole other movie, then BAM! vampires come out. I loved that. but thats not even 1 of my fav Tarantino movies.

Pulp Fiction - That movie had probably the best dialogue then any other movie (that i can think of right now atleast), they just talk about random crap like cheeseburgers in france. and that speach given about the watch in his ass was great.

Four Rooms was actually written by 4 different people, each room was a different persons thing. but the last 2 rooms were the best ones, Robert Rodriguez was the 3rd and it was funny stuff. the 4th was Tarantino wich was good but i like the ending of it a lot, and i like how they keep showin wuts goin on through the cast. and once again, excellent dialogue.

I havnt seen Hero yet, but i plan to because im a big fan of Jet-Li

A director that i think is pretty good, is the guy that did Training Day & Tears Of The Sun (i forget his name) because theres so much realism in his movies.

I like Martin Scorcesse, as well as James Cameron. I also enjoy Steven Kings work. But my younger brother reads all his books so when i watch a movie with him he points out the differences in the movie from the book. I like some Spielberg, but when he re-released that new E.T. i got pissed. I liked the original, he shouldnt have made any minor changes to it at all. But im lookin forward to the new War of The Worlds. I like Kevin Smiths movies too. and the guy that did Exit Wounds, Cradle To The Grave, Romeo Must Die. and Broken Lizard. Infact, theres really not many writer/directors that i dont like.

If Tarantino Brings The Gore That he used In the Kill Bill Series. This Friday the 13th Movie WILL SUCK!

Quentin Has A Creative Mind, It Will Be Interesting How He'll Use It For Part 11. As For Friday The 13th Finally Ending (NO) As Long As It Makes Money. (Halloween Is Another Film That Wont Die)

This Friday The 13th Film Should Be Made (Old School) A Part 2, Part 3, Type Movie. Hope New Line Doesn't Fuck It Up An Make Something Similar To Jason X.

A Possible Story Line That I Read About This New Friday the 13th is That, Jason Comes Back An Kills His Counselors In The Winter Time. Instead Of A Summer Camp. This Film Will Go different An Have A Winter Camp, "A Little Hot Chocolate For Jason Before He Slices His Next Victim". :)

Obviously you're the fucking hater!

I am unflinching in my opinion that Pulp Fiction is my favourite movie of all time.

I have seen Reservoir Dogs - it was good, but I preferred City On Fire.

Saw From Dusk Till Dawn - I liked it. Was it great? Nope. It was entertaining & the writing was good (remember Tarantino contributed only the screenplay here). Rodriguez did a nice job performing it & Clooney put it a solid performance, with Keitel & Lewis stealing the show in my opinion.

Four Rooms - I haven't saw this & didn't go out my way to, as I heard it was somewhat bloated.

Kill Bill Vol. 1 - alright but nothing special. The geekiest of movie geek's wet dream.

Kill Bill Vol. 2 - Better than the first, entertaining but still not anything special.

True Romance - while it remains overlooked by some, I feel this is a really strong movie. Violent? Yes. Morally dubious at times? Yes. But, entertaining? Yes. Well written? Yes. Great cast, good story & solid directing. I think Tarantino has to share the plaudits with Scott equally on this one.

Also, I quite liked Natural Born Killers but, while Tarantino obviously contributed heavily, that probably had more to do with Stone's direction & Harrelson's switch from the norm.

Jackie Brown was one of Tarantino's better movies I think. A skillful adaptation of Leonard's novel. Less 'messy' than his other movies to date, & is a movie that could easily silence some of his critics. Pam Grier was exceptional btw.

I should also take this moment to say that the sequels to FDTD were pretty basic.

So do I hate Tarantino? Or his work? I don't think so.

I am a fan of his work, I am less of a fan of those who have him an an exhalted position.

Scorcesse, Kubrick & Burton are a few directors who I rate better than Tarantino.

Soctt, Cameron, Stone, Spielberg, Eastwood (of late), Welles, De Palma & the Coen brothers are others who I consider in the same league as Tarantino.

As for writers: Stone, Welles & Nicholas Pilleggi (Goodfellas & Casino) are better writers IMO.

Andrew Kevin Walker (Se7en, 8MM) & the Coen brothers are also in the same league.

I must admit though, i don't too much about writers.

And if that sounded a bit like a derogatory remark about the 'foreign films. Well, Hero, IMO, is better than all of Tarantino's works bar PF & JB. I doubt you have seen it...

man you really know your TQ movies,. are you sure you didn't go out of your way to watch his movies? or you could just be a movie fanatic like me, :D
good post tho, im gonna check out some of the movies you mentioned that i haven't had a chance to see yet

cool news

but what happened to Freed Vs Jason Vs Ash??

i was really lookin forward to that.....Bruce Campbell is the man!
There was talk of that possibly happening, Sam Raimi had showed a little bit of interest in it, but then he and Campbell turned their attention towards an "Evil Dead" re-remake.

Of course I went out of my way to see his movies, I am a fan of his work.

However, I didn't just watch them recently so I could reply to Skitzo, if that's what you mean.

I do the same for all movies featuring favourite directors, writers, actors &, now & again, producers.

I am a movie buff.......but fuck James van der Beek.

For over a week now the talk has been swirling that New Line was meeting with Quentin Tarantino about doing the "Ultimate Jason Voorhees Movie" and as a result his "Inglorious Bastards" has been put on hold. Today, Empire Online has word from the man himself which smashes all the gossip to bits.

"What's happening with Friday The 13th? Nothing at all! It's a complete lie. I like Jason and everything, but I've no intention of directing a movie! New Line talked to me about it, but it was a complete fabrication, that article. I would love to do a horror film. I'm just saying it's not going to be Friday The 13th..." said the "Pulp Fiction" and "Kill Bill" director.

He just denied it, now I'm very sad. It would have been vicious to have seen this happen.
