11/12 Premier League thread

what about that Evans tackle on Holden then. put the poor lad out for 6 months.

and all the song and dance over that feeble bastard Nani getting a gash on his leg.

that Jaaskelainen is a shit keeper as well. i never rated him at all.

David Luiz looks a great signing for Chelsea and i find it hilarious how he has scored 2 goals so far and Torres hasnt scored any. He should start concentrating on scoring goals for his new club than taking sly digs at his old one.

I think Luiz is going to be a liability. He has the full package. He can tackle, pass, head. But.... He leaves his team exposed too often, and he will definitely get a lot of bookings.

As for Evans. Bit of an idiot really. Don't think there was malice. But he deserved red for sure. Which Carragher didn't get. Shame for Holden mainly.

Luiz is still rash but he is an absolute beast. Fantastic signing.

Evans tackle was awful and quite frankly he's a shit defender anyway, he's been god awful this season, when Carlton Cole tears you apart you should give up the game.

Jussi is a good goalkeeper. He has made a few errors though but I think he's a fine keeper who should have left ages ago.

Dzeko hasnt scored yet for City in the league. just saw that today.

some guy on the radio calling him rubbish. could have been that clown Eamonn Dunphy. didnt hear right.

i did think he looked a good striker at Wolfsburg but i think he needs to improve and start scoring soon. you see how impatient they were with the likes of Adebayor and Santa Cruz. its a shame he moved there tbh.

Its like that for any foreigner in the Premier. After a few months if they don't score anything, they're automatically labeled as a flop or rubbish. Wonder if these idiots know it takes time to settle in to a new country, a new language and a different style of football...

Yeah, he scored 4-5 goals in Europa League and the Cup, but not in the Premiership though. I'm anxious.

On the other hand if you watch Man City's matches, you wouldn't be surprised because their style of play is this :
Tevez to Silva, Silva to Tevez, Tevez runs, Tevez to Silva, Silva back to Tevez, Tevez through 3 defenders, Tevez loses ball, Tevez yells at Gareth Barry in Spanish.

In Dzeko's first 4 premiership matches, Tevez passed the ball "towards" Dzeko 15 times, 5-6 of those reached him.

England 2-0 up. Good to see Bent get a goal (for his confidence) because he's missed so many chances in recent weeks for villa. Conceding a penalty wasn't too good for Collins even though he probably wont feature again for villa just yet. Hope Bannan has a good game against Brazil.

Dzeko needs to get used to the pace of the Premiership. He is a class player though, I hope people are patient. A few weeks ago Ramiras was a waste of money to Chelsea fans, now he's in some good form. People in football have no patience and expect players to be like robots and turn it on like a tap.

Great comeback today. Though, Vidic struggles against players who run at him, this is when it shows we miss Rio, Vidic gets more plaudits but Rio is the better defender but I do feel Rio is coming to the end of his career now.

Hernandez is the signing of the season, even more than Van Der Vaart.

Wasn't a penalty though.....

Good performance from Rooney. Must have put a lot of bend on the free kick. Defender lifts his leg up thinking it's going pat him and ends up over his head.

United are desperate for 2 quality midfielders. Scott Parker comes to mind if West Ham go down. But I come short for genuine world class ball players operating in that area which would come to the premier league, or to United.

Yeah I agree, Noble was it? was far too close to Fabio for it to be a penalty.
Parker is good, but at 30 years of age, he probably has about 3 years left, if he's on the cheap then he's a must buy, but I wouldn't want to
pay more than £10m for him.

A few of my friends want Lassana Diarra from Madrid, but surely something is up if, Chelsea/Arsenal/Real Madrid all didn't and don't think he was good enough.
