He is 36. Probably has a couple more years left in him. I hope the injuries wont leave him disabled though. It wouldnt be the end of the world if he couldnt play in goals again because as you said, he is reaching the end of his career. would have been much worse if it happened while he was in his prime. I dont why these footballers want to go around on motorbikes for anyway.

Same happened with Stefan Klos when at Rangers. I would have thought that the clubs would write into their contract that they wouldn't be allowed to do such things.

^^yea i saw that but he was close to making the England team before his accident. He was even second highest scorer in the league back in 2002. He was never right afterwards.

damn it, Van Persie is out for 4 months. he was raking in the points for me in Fantasy Football. Big loss for Arsenal.

was there really any point in having these bullshit friendlies yesterday?

I don't rate Babel at all, but Kuyt up front is also horrible. Bertje experimented with that in the NT, it didn't work out well. Kuyt is no striker.

And even though I hate Babel (useless cunt), he might be useful as a striker with space in front of him. He's got pace and a good shot (about his only qualities).

But when you're the dominant side, which Pool usually is or at least aspires to be, the space is gone and Babel again becomes teh useless.

So yeah, I'd say you're royally fucked.

but who goes on the right then? i reckon they'll have to play Babel up front. We are also short on the left side as well. Riera and Benayoun are both injured. I think El Zhar is fit again. maybe he will play on the right.
