Dawson marked Valencia out the game a couple of weeks ago. Valencia was on fire at that point also :D Mcshane was playing the opposite side, he was being raped by Evra.

I still think it's a disgrace clubs like Utd and Real can pay these outlandish wages while they are literally hundreds of millions in debt.

^^Real can do what they like. The last time the spanish government bailed them out by buying their training ground. They'll expect the spanish government to step in and help them out again. Moral hazard is what they call this i believe.

Its looks pretty bad for Manchester United though. If they stop winning trophies they could be in trouble in a few years down the road. Apparantly the Glazer's will be taking money out of the club to service their own debts. The Glazer's really messed them up financially. As far as i know they had little or no debt before they came in.

Teams with huge debt should be punished. Even the team I support. These clubs are spending way too much money and someone has to do something about it.

I like Platini's idea of stopping teams with huge debt competing in Europe.

^^yea but i dont think that spending is the main problem with Man Utd's situation. When the Glazer's bought the club they took out huge loans on high interest and secured them against the club. now they are struggling to pay off these loans.

Im not that well up on the situation though.

here is something i found on what these bonds that were sold are supposed to do:

No. It delays repayment til 2017. But they have to pay an additional £54M for that delay. On top of that - they have to pay 9% of that £500M in interest to the owners of the bonds - this 9% is paid every 3 months (9% annually - 9% divided by 4 every three months..) Then at the end of the deal (In 7 years after paying 7 x 9% they then have to pay the full £500M back). They also have other debt and the main provision is that the Glazers can withdrawl more money from the club for their private bank accounts AND they have transferred all the risk onto the club. In the past, if the club went bust - that would affect their personal money. Now if the club does go under - all that risk is now at the club. Plus, as I said - they have a mountain of other debt on top of this £500M (Around another £300M).

Either way, being paid 250 000 GBP/week is just insane. That's about 500 000 CND$ a week.

The only people I'd give that kind of money to are MDs, Dentists, Firefighters and the Police... and even at that it seems extreme.

Something really needs to be done about it.

yea Ireland play Brazil and they have it on in London. what a fucking joke. we have an 85,000 capacity stadium in Dublin and they cant play it there. its ridiculous.

Ireland's new stadium will be ready later this year. it will be able to hold 50,000.

Wolves 0 Liverpool 0

worst match i have seen all season. total rubbish. Of course Benitez decided to change around the team to accomodate the captain as per usual. He was absolutely awful as he has been all season. He should not have started this game. Aquilani should have kept his place.

I was thinking after a great display against Spurs last week that Liverpool would have gotten their shit together. Things really need to be shaken up at the club...

Its so depressing. I feel sorry for any supporter that went to watch that rubbish. it doesnt even resemble football. To change the line up that started and did so well against Spurs is baffling. If they have to put in Gerrard then they could have moved Aquilani back and gave Lucas a break. Playing with two deep midfielders against Wolves really defies all logic.

I was going to bet on them also, thankfully I didn't have enough time to get to it. They would have lost me the bet I was going to make. lol.

They cost me last week though, I thought L'pool / Spurs would have ended in a draw... :(

Have to admit though, must be hard to be a Liverpool fan nowadays. You get a spark of hope then it gets taken away by retarded line changes. Blame the Spanish waiter.
