what can you do when there are penalties given for fouls that occured outside the box.

Johnson is such a weak defender and very cowardly as well. Babel being on the bench is a bit of a joke when you consider how well he has being playing lately. Aquilani? how can he perfrom if he isnt playing. His performance the other night should have meant a starting place today but no, Lucas apparantly had an excellent game against a load of rubbish on Thursday night. i dont have a problem with Lucas but fuck that.

Also, the foul started outside I agree, but it happend to Man Utd against Man City when Rafael fouled Bellamy outside the area. Those are tough calls to give.

Definatley. Babel wasn't afraid to take on defenders and looked very dangerous..

^^i dont rate him at all and it angers me when i think that we had an adequate rb last season who was sold for nothing to real madrid. Now Arbeloa was average but there was no point in forking out 18 million for a rb who looks flash going forward against shit teams but cant do the basics in defense and pulls out of tackles like he did twice today. I want my full backs like Steve Finnan. Solid in defence first and foremost and everything else is a bonus. or Evra who can do both well. A full backs primary job is to defend well imo

the money spent on Johnson could hav been saved and spent elsewhere. likewise, Alonso should have been told that he is going nowhere.
