I came across this in another board and was wondering if this was true? I don't remember pac having any beef with De La Soul. If anybody know's more info about this...most appreciated.
Listen to Against All Odds. Also he speaks about De La Soul on the Thug Immortal interviews, he says something like "Dont criticize others as your come back, you know how hard it was when you didn't have nothing, so why you going to do that to another?"
Thanks..but does he actually call them out or is it subliminal? As far as Against All Odds...yeah I've heard the lines but he never actually calls them out.
de la are flower rap, and they made some comments about how gangsta styles are ignorant (q-tip did as well). pac just made a very short and mostly unheard diss in against all oddz. i don't think he took it too seriously. wscg did much more so.
Thanks man...They were flower rap until they put out De La Soul Is Dead. They didn't want that flower stereotype thus the name of the second album. Thanks! :thumb:

yeah, but even still they kept doing saturdays type raps. hey, i still bump de la is dead and buhloone, and i think they balance out the more negative side of hip hop, and i think that's why pac didn't come harder on them.
track two on black sheep. lol what a wonderful track. still one of my favorites.
true they did put out some tracks that did sound like their first album but still it was all good..lol it was a good balance and you right about that track! Great track
