2Pac in Blood Diamond

#1
When I Get Free is blarin from the speakers of jeeps filled with bloodthirsty rebel forces. At first I felt pretty awful about these fucknuts glorifying 2Pac's music while on their journey to kill innocent people but then I thought to myself that these people mostly rode to hip-hop music in an attempt to immerse themselves in Western culture, especially that of African American gang members in the States. Sure I'm gettin a little too serious about this but fact of the matter was that it was still pretty dope to hear a track from Pac in a movie. Totally unexpected. "When I get free, muthafuckas betta watch they ass, soon as I get released I'ma clock some cash..."

Yeah, movie was excellent. Leo Dicaprio put on an Oscar worthy performance I think. Same as the African guy from The Gladiator, he did a great job as well.
Yea my friend said Leo did a great acting job in it. I might try to see it over Xmas! Cant wait to hear Pac :p

yeah i was happy to hear it in the movie, too...especially a good movie. at first i was like, that song came out in 2001 (the movie is in 99), but then i remember the RUSD version.

on a side note, is there a CD single version of Nas' "Shine on Em"? it's not on his new cd and i really don't feel like buying a soundtrack just for that song.

Dope Movie Dope Actors, and Dope usage of Pac material, Pac wasnt the only one sampled on the movie, Nas and Cube songs also make an appearance...easily the movie of the year

^^^it's funny cuz i couldn't really make out the beat, just the words, so i just assumed it was the RUSD version, since that was the only one out at the time

.
its actually the UTEOT version. You should add that into the Goofs section for Blood Diamond on imdb, under Anachromisms.
