2Pac is the most overatted rapper of all time

#2
lol, show me a second rapper who was a activist, and a rebel like pac

if they were at least 5 rappers outthere who made ~500tracks and gave a speech like malc x, THEN i´d say 2pac is overrated

BIG is imo overrated as a legend, nobody can tell me a real reason why BIG is a legend

btw i got luv for BIG

But then he goes and makes his best career move he dies, then and only then did Pac become the #1 rapper I never heard anyone say that Pac was the best before he died hell I hardly ever heard anyone talk about Pac outside of the court cases and the drama.
What a bitch for saying that.

I'm surprised at all the people agreeing with that article, never would've thought see that many people say "Yeah, I agree".

But then again, is they dickryding the poster? Or they speaking the truth..

imo tupac was always a great rapper but he never really hit mainstreem untill he died. Say if tupac retierd after the 7 day theory and id not release any more albums there wouldnt be as many 15-18 year olds listning to his music

2pac was very mainstream and very popular before his death. he was the most talked about rapper before his death. anybody who says 2pac only got popular after his death obviously didn't listen to rap while pac was alive. peace

Ok, pac is not the best lyricist out there but u don't have to be the best lyricist to be the greatest rapper of all time. Pac set blue print for rappers today and he lived and die for hip hop.

Why are you getting worked up over this? A majority of the stuff has no relevance to his rapping ability, and that stuff is full of untruths:

"Also people love to accuse 50 of being a snitch with pretty much no basis to the argument yet Pac blatantly snitches on jimmy henchman and Haitian jack on against all odds." - Talking about it on a track is far different than actually snitching to the cops.

"he said him self that he was never a drug dealer (yet he talked about it) " - Wrong.

"Pac talked about the same old shit “my enemies this, I’m an outlaw that” all the damn time dude repeated himself more than Mike Jones." - This is being said about a guy who rapped about life, death, pain, joy, friendship, war/enemies, religion, parties, growing up in the hood, women.

The only reason anyone could accuse Pac of repeating himself is because he made hundreds of tracks in a 5 year period, which is 10 times more than the other rappers whose music gets played.

You're not going to change the guy's mind because it's based on a mistaken view of Pac's life and he doesn't care for Pac's music. So why reply?

I still think 2Pac should get more time under the spotlight then what hes getting right now.........and maybe a reason why the spotlight slightly shines away from him has to do with the last amount of material that was released....im not pointing any fingers at any particular album (PACS LIFE!!!!!) but just maybe....

Damn, I knew there were plenty of Pac haters in the world, but I didn't know there could be so much ignorance toward Pac. I was about 8 when Pac died and even I know Pac wasn't an idiot like the blogger is saying. I can't even believe his followers.

But anyways, Pac is barely getting talked about. Even on BET's "Pac Lives" segment, that was just for ratings I believe, because no program, rapper or anybody ever percieves Pac WHOLE essence. All we see is the thug side and the soft side. Nobody knows that he was a revoluntionary and did public speeches for the benefit of the youth and the ghetto. NOBODY KNOWS THIS.

he did alot of shit that alot of people didnt know. They also didnt know because he wanted to keep it that way, he didnt want people to think that he did it for publicity or for record sales. So he kept it all on the low and thats real to me.

Just add this to that blogg and we all done with it:

2pac - The Don Killuminati

It is not a true posthumous album in the way that the later 2Pac albums are, since he completed the album before his death. It has been recognized as a classic by many critics and fans. The emotion and anger showcased on the album has been admired by a large part of the hip-hop community, including other rappers[2]. The album made its debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 and sold 663,000 copies in the first weekp

One thing I hate about Pac fans is that Pac fans don't know how to put up arguements in other forums for shit.

Sometimes, I feel it's useless defending him.

Tupac fans if you want to defend him, use these tips from me:

-Number 1, Tupac wasn't a lyricists. Being a lyricists ain't mandatory in hip hop. He was a poet.

-Tupac ditched lyrics cause he didn't want metaphors and punchlines to outshine his content. He intentionally ditched that in his rhyming to make a change. That's the heart of a true MC to sacrifice that.

-Three. Tupac intentionally repeated and rhymed about the same things to bring change. Remember when Pac said in that interview that if he keeps talking about how dirty a place is that someone might clean it up? Well he applied that message to his music which is why you may hear repetition in his lyrics.

-Tupac released 4 classics including a number of solid albums afterdeath and some hot street albums that leaked in the late 90s. 2Pac has the greatest discography and probably the greatest body of work ever. From Thug Life, which is an overlooked and underrated classic-makaveli to so much more.

-Tupac played a heavy part in influencing other greats. Most notably, hands on mentoring with Biggie Smalls. Hands off/indirect influences such as other hip hop greats DMX, Nas, Eminem, etc.

-He's the most diverse and influential mc on the face of this earth.

-Tupac screaming Thug Life derived from his childhood. Going to artschool has nothing to do with how you were brought up and doesn't define social status or who you really are.

There's so many ways that you Pac fans can argue for Pac instead of that passion bullshit arguement and look at his influence and inspiration tired arguements.

I'm tired of arguing for 2Pac. You other fans need to dig deep and do a better job and represent your hero well. I'm ashamed of how all of you present yourself and I'm ashamed of even admitting I'm a Pac fan because of this.

Arguing with people about Tupac (or anything else) is pointless 'cause you won't change their opinion, not everyone likes him and they probably got their reason for not liking him even though that article is full of bullshit. Just say "Fuck 'em" and go back to listening Hit 'Em Up.

Pac's a great artist. But from what i've seen, either people overrate him, or underrate him. He had some qualities that I've never seen in an artist before but at the same time, I dont think he was some flawless rapper. As a rapper he's just mediocre at best, but dude had the charisma, dedication and emotion like no other.

I remember thinking he was the best, untouchable rapper from when i was like 8 to like 1, but after that, I really started getting into a wide range of hip hop. And saw em for what he is. Just a great artist, who inspired and influenced me at my younger ages.
