2Pac- No More Pain

#1
What do people think of this track?

Produced by Devante.. This track is RAW, beat is funky as hell and has that mysterious aura.. The hook is really wierd too..

Quote:
I came to bring the pain, hardcore to the brain
Let's go inside my astral plane
Astral plane is a really wierd.. I dont know if anyone on here tries astral voyage or astral projection?

Quote:
The astral plane is where you go upon departing the earthly life, through physical death. Everyone goes there and spends a certain amount of time within this area of the spirit world. It is within the astral plane that you deal with those areas of healing, transformation and forgiveness. It is here where you gather with your loved ones. There are special spirit emissaries or angles that help you in this process of assessment. Because the astral plane is where you deal with some of the more negative elements of your self, some may refer to it as a place of evil and negativity. This could not be further from the truth

I don't know but people always mentioned how great this song was as well as ambitionz az a ridah, california love and I ain't mad atcha but I've never liked these songs. I don't see anything great in them at all. They're not terrible but personally I find them boring. They were instantly skippable to me.
Apart from tracks like How do you want it and Skandalouz which are extremely gay I found them the most meh ones (okay, "ratha be ya nigga" was gay but good).

I think that "Holla at me" is the best out there followed by "Life goes on", "can't c me" and "shorty wanna be a thug". "Ain't hard to find" was also cool and so was "only God can judge me". All of these were awesome and to me "no more pain" was a filler track.

most of those are some of myfavorites
any glaring reasons you dont like the 1s you listed you don't like?

Overall
I think All Eyez is underrated because of being in the middle of Me Against the world and Killuminati

@ Masta247 you've got to be kidding me. ok so yeah like it was pointed out, you've got a specific taste but ambitionz az a ridah is one of the sickest tracks on the album. I can see why you find it boring though. It's not one of those songs that PUTS you in a mood. It's one of those songs you've really got to be in the mood for but it's still an amazing track. One of my favorites. It's a very underrated song.

I don't really know, I mean I am aware that people like "Ambitionz az a ridah" and I don't think that it sucks. Because it's not a bad song, I just find it boring - to me there's nothing special in that song.
Then again, I'm not a fan of 2pac tracks where he rhymes about how cool and gangsta he is.
It lacks substance and emotions imo. A plain beat and plain lyrics but nicely written to be fair though. But I don't like 2pac as a shallow rapper because there are way better ones if you know what I mean.
It's a song I could play in a car to listen in the background and bop my head to it but I know thousands of better ones for that purpose.

I totally get it Masta247. It's a chill song. Not one of his more powerful, fast paced, heavy beat, emotional songs where he just rips it. It's just a laid back relaxed song. Sick as fuck though.

I used to always skip 'no more pain' then one day I decided to give it a listen and I liked it right away. I wouldn't say its one of my favorite tracks on the LP but I like it overall. Never knew about 'astral plane' until I read it on here. Damn, that's some stuff that makes me think.

I personally think the reason AEOM sold so many copies is the 'replacement factor'. Owners have either had it stolen, damaged, missing booklet or something of the sort. Either way, its one of those LPs that people never seem to think twice when its time to replace it.

'Ambitionz az a ridah' sticks with me because its the first track I heard when I played that LP. I didn't know what to expect from the LP and by pressing play and hearing that song, I was hooked. Then hearing that bit of 'lets get ready to rumble' its like a declaration of what the LP will be about. One day I was watching a Mike Tyson fight it was playing when he was walking to the ring. Only recently I was wondering if it was actually 'ambitionz az a fighta' that I heard.

Tracks I never liked: watz your phone #, check out time, run tha streetz & heaven ain't hard to find :eek:h:

Always loved the song because of the beat. I thought Pac sampled the "No More Pain" hook from a Method Man verse.

Even though it was in the outro, that song had to be the first time we heard him mention Bad Boy Killa.
