2pac Related - The Game's Doctors Advocate

#1
A few things I noticed which I thought I'd post.

Firstly, Track 09 - Scream On Em, Produced by Swizz Beatz.

The track features the exact same gunshot soundeffects and 'what what' chant in the background. Seems like Swizz has a limited sound bank. It also features his trademark intro shoutout similar to Untouchable. It is also a shocking beat. This just exphasises how much work went into making 2Pac's track original.

Secondly, Track 08 - Wouldn't Get Far - Produced by Kanye West.

At the end of the Track Game imitates Snoop's adlibs at the end of 'All About U.'

"Im sittin back watchin kanye's video, and I see the same bitch who was in my homeboy Busta Rhyme's video, then I flip the muthafuckin channel and check out my uncle Snoop Doggs video and see the same bitch who was in my video....it's like everywhere I look, everywhere I go, I see the same hoes."

It's nice to pay homage to Pac, but listening to Swizz's prodcution on Games track made me reaslise how limited the guy is at producing.

I noticed all of this too. Regarding Swizz, that's a well-known fact. If you dig deep into your CD collection (or mp3 collection if you're lame) and pull out DMX's It's Dark and Hell Is Hot, play "Ruff Ryders' Anthem" and you'll hear the same "what what" sounds in the background. And that's from 1999.

Deeznutz, im a big DMX fan and know that Swizz uses the same effects for DMX also. Thing is, in comparison to 2Pac, Dark Man fits well with that type of hyped up production. Still, Swizzy might wanna invest in some new samples bcos his old library of effects have sure been around the block and back...

Dante, you aint missing much at all in my honest opinion.

I think thats ridiculous saying "shows how much time went into the original".

Swizz bought his style to 'Pacs lyrics, not the other way round. And from what I been hearing from hip-hop heads is the track is straight up heat! If people feel soo passionate about 'Pacs music then become a producer and make your way up to the top. Until then just do what most of y'all are programmed to do - Sit there, moan, and do nothing! I respect your view playa, i just disagree the way u said it.

Oh and it was Snoop that did the adlibs at the end of "All Bout U"

the problem is that most modern producers are just lazy. it's fine to have a signature sound and use some signature elements, but overuse can render songs unlistenable. i know a lot of people like the po nigga blues scott storch remix, but i can't bear to listen to it because it embodies everything i hate about the guy. the snap/clap snares and the slide whistle on every last god damn song... please make it end.

granted, i grew out of ruff ryders shit after dmx's second album, but it's kind of sad to see swizz using the same elements that he did over 5 years ago. especially since after the ruff ryders shit he was toted as being a new super producer and he was in vibe stating that he makes three beats a day. god only knows how crappy they sound.

Thats why I give props to DJ Quik's production. He's got a whole bunch of good layers in his beats

Man stop lying. Everyone I've came in contact with on any non-pac forum knows that the track is doodoo. Whether people claiming to be 15, 16 yrs. old. Whether 23 or 32. Hip hop head, casual fan or not, I haven't seen one person that likes the song. Hell, I don't know 1 person who likes anything Swizz beats touches in this day and age. The redundant beat doesn't compliment the flow at all.

It's hip hop talk, whereas in any male is a nigga. But yeah, I don't suggest that anyone should use the word so loosely. Especially, on a forum filled with mostly non-blacks.

I dont need to lie about what people have said, its stupid to even imply that i was lying about something i have nothing to gain out of. Choose your words carefully -

P.S - Theres a world outside hip-hop forums and the net playa -

Its unbelievable how much Game name drops Pac an BIG, an Dre an 50. I thought the adlib copying of All Bout U symbolizes the stagnation of hip hop and how things havent got any better since 10 years ago. On another not, if Amaru were looking for guest appearances on Pac's Life (rhetorical) then they should have looked no further than Game, he does a great Dr. Dre impression and so do half of the producers on the Doctors Advocate. Shit it would of been like a Pac an Dre joint 2006!
