^^^yeah, smoking DOES mess drastically with your reaction time, and comparing it to being tired is ridiculous. EVERYONE gets tired, so when you smoke up and drive, you are CHOOSING to inebriate yourself and get behind the wheel, which, no matter how you try to spin it, is a dick move.

^^^i'm not saying it's not. if you're tired, don't drive (i take naps after work sometimes before driving home). what i'm saying is when you smoke up or drink, you are CHOOSING to affect your senses, reaction time, etc. and give yourself a lack of control.

Weed messes with your driving skills about as much as tylenol.... The only reason its illegal is because the government thinks they can make more money from fines and court costs than legalizing and taxing it.... Plus the myth that it is a gateway drug.... Yes I smoked weed and eventually did other drugs but technically alcohol was my first drug, but if it was as easy to produce as weed, alcohol would also be illegal.... Weed is just too easy for the average person to produce, so the government thinks prohibition is bigger business than legalization....

There are over the counter medications that are more dangerous than marijuana as far a driving under their use.... Hell, I don't think for the 10 or so years I've smoked that I've ever even gone over the speed limit while high... I even signal coming out of my drive way or going around curves.....
I guess everyone is different, but I feel I'm more cautious when I'm high

^Yea right as much as Tylenol! Maybe depending what kind of dosage you take.

Honestly I like weed just like the next guy but people like big limn, nothing against you personally, who think driving while under the influence of weed is fine makes me happy it's still illegal. There have been studies that have proven reaction times are drastically impaired by smoking weed. There are also laws to prevent people from driving after having worked for too long to make sure they don't drive while sleep deprived.

Most people like you Limn base your opinion on your own experience but you forget that laws don't work that way. You cannot make laws for individuals. You can't make sure only those who can handle driving while being intoxicated be allowed to drive. It's either everyone or nobody. I will always be for nobody because there are plenty of people out there who could kill many innocent others just because they thought weed is no big deal.
