Your wrong! If it weren't for that woman, his legacy wouldn't be as big as it nis now! How can ANY of you sit there, and have pops at everything she fuckin does! Your just dumb fans who know fuck all! The least you could do is respect her for what she has done over the last 8 years, since her son died(just incase you lot forgot). And the amount of music she has given us! Its time some of you fans check yourselves, and realise what the fuck you lot are saying! Plain and simple! I don't blame her for ANYTHING! You can't expect decent shit on the same level, all the time! Because it will never happen. And since Loyal 2 The Game, you stubborn fans have decided to judge her on EVERY movement she makes! It's time you lot stop following the bandwagon, and come out with your own opinions about her! Because alot of you are following, and copying what others are saying!

Yep Yep and Yep!

If you'd told this ex political activist that in her lifetime she will go on to become executive producer/estate owner of the biggest rap star ever 2 ever hit this fuckin planet, she would of laughed and so would I. She doin the best she can the best she knows, and as a mother she doin what she can to keep him and his music alive. She was new to all this shit and watching how she managed to release his music year after year shows she wont rest until she does! She didnt know know who to trust and who not to trust so she dumps almost every old rapper Pac rhymed with in the OG versions.

Anyway back to the quote she gave, its like this (i got this quote of someones signature a few years back and it stuck to me)

Death Is Not The Greatest Loss In Life
Its What Dies Inside Of You While You Still Live ....

People die inside, physically there right there in your face and you see them, but inside there dead. Pac died once. His spirit was crashed and he wanted out of this world permanently!. He almost pulled the trigger too according to his first verse in "Thugz Mansion".

But he came back and settled the score, him comin out of jail was his re-incarnation.

And thats what Afeni is pointing out, the same thing 2pac did in everything that he spoke after he came out of jail - Keep yourself alive! And even after he has died Pac has managed to do this. Look at the people runnin' around frantically lookin for more clues that he lives, Sept.13th 2003 was a landmark day for them clue diggers - Yet still we keep him alive anyway we can. We dont want to believe he's dead, and his clever lyrics and rhyms make it oh so easy to believe all this is faked. Pac kept himself alive by fooling the whole world he werent actually dead, i dont wanna sound too cheesy but thats gotta be the best trick ever pulled in Rap/Hip-Hop. Pac is still rappin' as though he wrote the lyrics only yesterday, thats why they say he was so way ahead of his time -. I really think people mis-understand Pac and Afeni - but every person here will relate to them differently to another, its what forms an opinion. And here's another quote I picked up from somewhere -

"Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one" -

Peace ..!

how can you respect someone thats destroying everything that 2pac basically built? I'll give her credit for trying, but shes not doing very well. Respects for giving birth and raising 2pac, thats for sure, but if she really did care about him - instead of making as much money as possible - things with her and her way of doing things would be different. I just think shes chillin with the wrong ppl.

PEACE

ps - and the quote was kinda wack. She should of put a quote from one of 2pac's unheard and unreleased tracks. That would of been dope.

she's not "chillin" with any people.
She's not a biz woman she's learning as she goes for godsakes...
Somethings has been handled bad mostly because of deathrow but people need to let afeni be.
Stop putting blame on everything that comes out especially when the blame is on some stupid shit!
shes doing whats best for her son.
She knows him better then you or i or anyone here.
She knew the real tupac, and not the media image of tupac.
She knows whats best for him, and his legacy, and in my eyes shes done an outstanding job...
its not easy dealing with this kind of stuff when it comes to your dead son.
Let some of you go thru this, and you will see its not easy... i hope to god none of you ever have to go thru what she has fuckin gone thru...
ive lost family myself, and i know how tough it is... but i could never feel how tough it is to lose a son... unless it happened to me.
its not easy, and to have all you dumb nerds online talking shit doesnt help..
enjoy pacs music for his lyrics, and his poetic messages not for the beats or for a quote his mother put out...

To Robbo:
I respect all that she does, and the attempts and the time that she puts into putting out Tupac's work for us, I just don't particularly agree at how she handles that work.

Maybe she's talking to all the 2pac dickriders that believe he lived his life right and who try to follow in his footsteps.
Maybe Pac didn't live right, but the way he did live was real, it was genuine. That's why we all love him, cause he didn't bow down to a bunch of punks in order to "stay alive."

So what you all are saying is keeping yourself alive isnt important? Being aware of the concequences of your actions that may lead to your death isnt something you should think about? Well maybe the quote wasnt meant for you.

I am beginning to wonder on the level of education that people who post on this forum have. I've just read several posts on here and if I'm quoting you I'm sorry but this shit is dumb.

"Should have put 1 of 2pac's quotes in there"

"She put her own quote in before 1 of 2pac's"

Are you lot stupid? It's not a competiton. If you feel like that I guess you also believe 2pac was the greatest lyrical talent and the best freestyler/battle rapper. Wrong, that would make you a dickrider. There's more to life than 2pac, and you don't understand half the stuff he said anyway. The If I die Tonight thread showed that. You only understand the simple stuff - where he chats about guns and gangs which is why you all think he was a blood and/or a gangsta.
Afeni's quote was meaningful and she isn't the one fucking up his legacy, she's the one striving for his memorial. The School in his name and the foundation in his name. Those who think otherwise you're intitled to your opinion, but as am I. And I am of the opinion you are retarded dickriding newbies.

Its threads like this that are a constant reminder why I hardly ever come into Life section anymore.

btw, poetry and wisdom is an art which has a different meaning to each person. True wisdom can have differnet connotations to different people who each have different perspectives on things. The alive comment doesn't neccesarily mean in the physical sense. You can fit that comment to your 'conscious' or your struggle against an injustice, or keep your vigour for change in the face of adversity ALIVE.

"Death of the concious is the true death" <-- keep your consious alive becasue that is in reality what makes you who you are. Even in physical death, if your concious is alive then you have just changed form.

I dont know about downloading it but you can watch it at 2paclegacy.com
I thought the quote fit well with the theme of the video. And I'm glad the video wasnt old video footage of Pac. I gotta say they did well with the video this time, although it is late.

Does anybody else think that the quote Afeni Shakur gave at the end of the Ghetto Gospel is just plain dumb. "Remember to keep yourself alive, there is nothing more important than that."
I don't like this quote neigther. I mean if she meant it that why that "u should lose your life over some bullshit", then I agree.......but we can't be sure.....In my view and I think Pac for example shared that view, there are more important things then your silly life and therefor, there are things that are worth to sacrifice your life for.

I think the quote was quiet irrelavent to the majority of Pac fans, but I guess it was aimed at the kids livin in the ghettos who get so caught up in drugs and money that they forget the importance of stayin alive.
