Alanis/ Tupac

They recorded together. How come I have never come across such a track?

Has the original been destroyed? I bet it will never get released. I love Alanis, She is talented.

This track exists, but it's among the very rare songs that haven't been released yet. I talked to a VERY credible friend of mine who said it exists, and that he owns a copy. It's going to be released, Afeni said so in an interview a few years ago.

The song exists, it's coming.

I liked the madonna song, problem was pac should have done a lot more verses.

The first alanis album was fantastic, her next one was a big bore.

Rumors, rumors, and more rumors... If I remember correctly Afeni commented on the subject around the time better dayz came out and said that she had no knowledge of any such track existing. This doesn't mean that such a track doesn't exist SOMEWHERE, but the things we know for sure is that Amaru does not have it, and that the track Afterlife does not feature alanis as that was asked, and the answer was a resounding no.

If I remember correctly, It was just a warpath remix of another song that no one ever heard. He labeled it afterlyfe and People tought it was some rare song. It was something like that

YES, there is a remix with that title. But that doesn't necessarily mean that the real track doesn't exist. You know what people online do, once they here about an alleged track, they go ahead and take a Pac accapella (usually his verses from "Smile" or something) and mix it with vocals from his rumored song partner and put it out there. After all, even in the VIBE book about Tupac, they mention that the track is out there, even though they've probably never heard it, and that book was published in 1997, probably before the remix even came out.

Whether a 2Pac alanis colaboration truely exists....I can guarantee you one thing. The song is NOT called "Afterlyfe". People that were online back in 97/98 know that was one of the first mixes I ever attempted. From all the interviews I heard pac say he says he did production with alanis. he never confirmed he laid any vocals for her. towards the end of his life he was working on producing his own tracks (dont' go 2 sleep, set it free...untouchable..etc.) so I wouldn't doubt he produced a song for Alanis for the unreleased Rock/Alternative album version of the Gridlock'd soundtrack.
