ok u like it, accepted, but pac is not ment to be pop, he was like a revoluzza in the hiphop scene, there should be no opinion

pac is pac, pac should stay 96 and not fuckin shit modern pop shit shit shit shit, pac is a different part of hiphop its struggle rap to the fullest

like a man on this forum said before, buy the new beatles album, ull not hear a brittany spears or aguilera style beat under beatles vocals, the producers of beatles got much of luv for them so they keep it rare...its all bout respect

i dont understand the paranoia which amaru have, they really fear when they let the OG´s out theyll get no money anymore....lol thats fucked up

a simply way is to re-make all the OG beats
i think its more complicated the us assuming why and for what reasons they're not releasing the music in OG form. You assuiming that they wont release the Ogs because they think they wont get any money is just as likely as me assuming that the real reason Amaru is "modernizing" Pac's music because somewhere in Pac's last will and testament(afeni calls the blueprints) Tupac's real plan was that in the event of his demise, he would have everyone thinking he was still alive, always and forever coming out with new music, a screenplay, a resurrection movie about himself...

Now way back in 1996, as smart as tupac was and as prophetic as people think he was, no one at the time would guess how the internet has developed and changed/affected the music industry. DO U REALLY THINK TUPAC THOUGHT WE'D BE DOWNLOADING HIS OG MUSIC ON THE INTERNET? So, if he did mean to have people thinking he was still alive, then of course the music would have to be modernized. Now, of course I would rather have them modernize the music and update the beat without straying so far from the originals...

I'm not saying that this is the case, only Afeni or others at Amaru know for sure, but my guess is just as good as yours. However, they're the ones left with Pacs "instructions"... it was his legacy... if pac was really that prophetic then he should have left his legacy to people on these boards... the we all could have a field day and in others peoples eyes, probably fcuk up his legacy even more.... The fact of the matter is, everyone here may look up to pac, but downloading his music whether OG or New would probably have pissed him off... and he'd probably come running after you, spitting on u with a red wings jersey on talking about "thats my new style" ;)

I'm not "Hatin" I'm simply giving my honest review. Pac is the greatest rap artist to ever pic up a mic, this album does not do him justice... besides, you were 8 years old when 2pac was alive, come on man... I think you are more a prt of the nelly generation then the 2pac generation. No matter how you cut it... this is no "All Eyes on Me"... This album ranks right down there with UTEOT album whic, until now, was the worst excuse for a Pac album yet. Again, I'm not hatin, I love Pac bro... I just want then to stop fucking his music up...
UTEOT was great album dude, granted they ruined All Out but that album had alot of great tracks:

Ballad Of A Dead Soldier
Why U turn On Me
Thug N Me
Closest Roaddogs
Nigga Nature
When Thugs Cry
Breathin
UTEOT
Let'em Have it (with left eye)
World Wide
Lil Homiez
Fuck Friendz
Words to my Firstborn

If you think this is the worst postumous release then I have nothing further to say to you. Theres no way we will be able to see eye to eye. I have full respect for your opinion but thats all it is.

I think UTEOT is one of the best postumous releases, actually it is the best postumous release hands down. I feel they ruined All Out royally, and even Don't Worry, but i can't stop bumpin this album.

im not gonna make another thread. im gonna write my review in here tho for anyone who wants to read it. i'll skip reviewing the tracks i don't even feel deserve it.

pac's life
i'm not gonna say too much about it. the beat is so fruity, as is the chorus. imagine that someone made a movie about a rapper coming up and then made a song that was gonna be that rapper's mainstream hit. this beat would fit perfect for that. it's so corny. it's like they hired a pop or whatever-producer to make a hiphop beat the way he thinks a hiphop beat should sound. it's not a beat, it's too fruity, it's like the intro music to a tv show. i fucking hate this track more than the life of a homosexual itself. okay, that was a joke, tee hee :) another thing that i'm gonna say is that i thought snoop's verse on the remix was funny. not good, not DOPE, funny however and not bad. the singing on the remix of the remix is incredible. not in the good way. i can't believe there is off-key singing on a tupac album. it sounds like they kept the bad take and threw out the re-do lol.

dumpin'
the drums on this sounds like something dj fatal would do. the whole beat got a dj fatal feel to it i think. the bassline is so funky and dope. this is the only remix on this album i'm loving. i mess around with beats a little and i always find it the easiest to make dark, gangsta-rap-ish beats. this is exceptionally dope though. i don't really care who's rapping over this, i listen to this for the beat moreso than anything. fatal comes tight, and pappoose's first line was cool. i haven't really paid attention to pappoose's verse tho.

playa cardz right (female)
beat is okay, but way too boring. pac's verse almost makes me want to fast-forward to the female vocals. which is where i skip to the next track, lol. they are so loud. this sounds like pop music.

whatz next
i would murder the creator of this.

sleep
the more i listen to this, the more it grows on me. i wish i just had the instrumental though because that's what i listen to it for. i used to hate it after i first heard it. one thing i will say is that while the beat is sort of cool, this remix sucks major ass. who would put that acapella over that beat? young buck's verse is boring, as is his flow. then again, the only young buck song i ever liked was "thou shall". one thing i noticed is that i don't think buck and chamillionaire fit to this beat. cham needs a less intense mixdown. buck needs something that hits harder.

international
read "whatz next", only i would stick his eyes out and rip off his fingernails prior to the murder.

don't sleep
dante said this beat sounds wannabe-dre i think. i'd say it sounds more like a qd3 beat. the beat is okay, but it would be a lot doper without those strings and maybe a more intense guitar instead. chorus isn't even catchy. i haven't listened to this song long enough to hear scrappy's verse and i don't intend to. i was hoping to hear something more like ghetto star or the original for these vocals. it's not bad, but i probably won't ever play this song because i actually want to hear it.

playa cardz right (male)
i'm liking this way more than the female version, mainly because the beat is fuller and it's actually a pretty dope beat. i love the electric piano. the chorus is way simpler too. chorus vocals are still a little too loud for my liking but oh well. i don't like the indian instrument in there though. i wish they'd use another guitar instead, a brighter one playing a few octaves up. all this shit aside though, i find this to be a boring track. at least this one has two verses instead of one followed by two minutes of singing.

don't stop
i think the beat is interesting. one of the most interesting beats on this cd. let me explain. dumpin is the dopest beat on this album melody-wise, but it's also the typical song that becomes popular. don't stop, however, is a way more complex beat. it would be way harder to remake. for that reason alone i like it more. that funky melody sticks too. a lot of people said young noble sounded horrible on this. funnily enough, i think his flow on this song is better than his regular flow lol. at least he's varying his voice and not rapping at the same tired old pace with the same tired old voice. also, this song really feels like a recorded song. shit fits together, smooth transitions. it's a little long and i think there's too much other people on it. i can still listen to the whole song tho.

untouchable
this is so wack. it sounds as if the beat was created, then the drums were delayed by half a bar so instead of having a build up at the end of every bar, the first kick beats and THEN the buildup starts. it sounds out of place. the first time i heard this song i skipped into the middle and i couldn't make out where the bars start and stop for half a minute. it just sounded so weird. when i play the song from start to finish, it's easier to make out how the melody is supposed to play on coherence with the rhythm of the beat, but i still don't like this beat. because even though the drums had been playing the way i think they should have, i find the melody to be boring and, well, wack.

thank you for reading.

Anyone who would regard this album as a good 2Pac album is not a real fan of his music. This album is disgusting. It makes me sick and very dissapointed.

I agree with the review except for one thing.I would have given it 0 out of 5.2 out of 5 is far too genorous.I will buy it just to have it and for no other reason.

I will feel like a complete and utter hypocrite if I bought the album, so for once I will take a morale stand and not buy it. Its a sad day :(
not buying it won't make them think there is no market for remixed tupac, it will make them think there is no market for tupac, period. because the tupac that is coming out is sounding as fruity as whatever else that's coming out in the hip-pop scene right now, so if the casual mainstream hip-pop fan doesn't chew and swallow this, who would?

i see what you're trying to do, but i don't get why it makes you a hypocrite. if anything, buy this album for soon as i get home.
