i like the OG beat...Gravediggaz used it on their first album. Im only for editing out "grab the mic" rakim lines in the background along with the "somebody in the house say yeeeaa".
I like the chorus samples. BTW you forgot "tick tock ya don't stop".

i don't know about a single, but the OG would be ten times better w/o that horrible "i grab the mic and try to say yes yall".

man i can't stand that,it really ruins the track. if just that layer was gone it would be so much better.

isn't there 3 versions of "staring at the world thru my review" ?
the retail version, this solo version, and an alternate version with Pac & the lawz.

selfish na, smart. why hear a track u already have?
Well, we as fans just want to hear good music to be released in superior quality and to an audience that isn't limited to hardcore Pac fans that download all of his unreleased songs. The group you're in is the same one EriMakaveli is in, the people that just want new Pac songs to leak so you can surprise yourself with what they sound like rather than enjoy the ones you already have. Go open a pack of trading cards you faggot.

Since the chorus for the song is a sample, i'm guessing Amaru isn't going to pay for the sample, so therefore there will be no sense in even calling it Grab The Mic. He doesn't even say Grab The Mic once in the song, so if they remove the sample, the title wont make sense. Plus he says Staring Thru My Rearview at the end of each verse, so a more logical title would be Staring Thru My Rearview, but theyve already done that, so im guessing Amaru has put this track in their "Unable to release" folder.

I was just thinking it would be nice to see Rakim on this track.

Grab The Mic is just a fake name anyway, the real name is actually Starin Thru My Rearview.

Yeah, since the vaults of Amaru consists of a PC with unreleased Pac mp3s on it.

it's a bit misleading to say the beat is on the Gravediggaz album. i assume you're referring to the song Mommy, What's A Gravedigga. they obviously used the same sample for the beat, but it's more of an interpolation than a true sample. it really doesn't sound like Grab The Mic that much (and i don't know why people always refer to this song being titled that, since it's just a solo version of Starin' Thru My Rearview, that's the real name of it, not Grab The Mic. as usual, some idiot mislabeled it and confused people)

I think it'd be a perfect single. The lyrics are great and it IS Pac at his best. I think the beat would barely even need modifications to make it marketable.

"Livin to tell/ Prison is hell/ for a nigga/
They usin my bail/ build bigga jails/ for a nigga/"

The song has some very deft lyricism in it

that beat is amazing.....i love tha guitar......very sick.....and tha sampling reminds me of tha song on MATW song "old school"...........not a good single since singles are suppose to be catchy(doesn't include tha sampling of old school rapperz)...i mean shit like has to be mainstream friendly or have a clear messege like changes in order for them to consider it as a single (changes/until the end of time/i wonder if heaven has a ghetto, etc)

i don't think they will release a single of pac solo dolo unless it has some fag* on it or some other current popular artist** on it.

i think it could easily work as a single in the same way that I wonder if heaven got a ghetto was pac's last single that i ever heard on the airwaves. both songs have the same kinda feel to them
