I don't believe every soldier knows what that illegal war is supposed to be about but I do agree, & I never said anything to the contrary, that soldiers know what they're doing when they sign up & if they die, they die. But I do believe that soldiers would rather die for a just cause than simply to aid the President's own personal ends.

And no I'm not American, & the very reason I'm bitching is because I'm worried about my own country. I wouldn't give a fuck but America is so quick to stick it's nose into other countries' affairs. There'd be nothing wrong with the main superpower meddling if they'd actually fix the problems they started (Vietnam, Iraq (1st time round)) and fixed the problems infesting the world such as helping out the Tsunami victims (in proportion to the what everyone else is giving).

But America doesn't, she'd rather poke her nose into Iraq when it wants her oil, not when thousands upon thousands are being massacred after Americans assured civilians that they'd recieve American military back up only to pull out hours before, never informing those on the ground of the change in plans.

There's also the double standard in nuclear weapons. America can store them but nobody else can? Get the fuck out of here!

Yes, I was a soldier. I was given a medical discharge after having a seizure while in iraq serving with the 11th marine Expeditionary unit. Want proof? I have no problem with scanning my discharge paper when I get the chance. Now, my bad for lashing out at you but I'm just tired of the relentless bashing of the USA. There was never a single perfect leader. Every leader will be critized by someone, from George Washington to George Bush. I really do not feel like debating right now, I'm tired and have work soon.

As far as my term in the marine corps, I served for the values of being a marine and everything that came with it. I did not believe that I was over there for the betterment of the United States. I only followed orders. Truthfully, I would have much rather been in Afganistan. Every set of eyes has a diffrent perspective.
As far as George Washington, yes he was a slave owner. But anyone who had any form of income had slaves. I am in no way trying to say that it was right or justified. It was completely wrong. But what if he would have failed miserably in the Revolutionary War, wouldn't he be labeled a traitor and a coward? Samething goes for George W. Bush. If things start to look for the better, I guarantee alot of the bashing will disappear. [ Not doubting you, just those who jump on the hate bush bandwagon. ] I understand that alot of american blood is being spilt for reasons that do not protect freedom and the democracy of the united states but every soldier I met during my tour was more than willing to serve the term, either because of duty or self respect. Never because George W. Bush wanted them to. I believe that Bush shouldn't have attempted to change the form of government that Iraq had. The UN should've just reenstated a new dictator, that's the form of government they were used to. That's just my two cents on this all.
