I hate when people say the only reason someone got big was cuz Pac died. As if people like DMX and 50 all of a sudden got inspiration after Pac's death to put out good music that millions of people liked. Anyone who makes half decent music will succeed, you think if Pac was still here he'd be the only successful rapper in the game? Gimme a break, the man was a legend but he wasn't God.

What TTG is saying might not be true but it's not outrageous, since Pac died some people have been looking for a "replacement", like the pathetic people on this board who bump Tha Realest because it's as close to Pac as they can get.

Im saying that DMX wouldnt have been as successful if 2Pac didnt die.People would have seen him as a 2Pac biter and if he came with that style while 2Pac was around,2Pac wouldve dissed him.

As far as DMX making good music,i would only consider Its Dark And Hell Is Hot and maybe Flesh Of My Flesh,Blood Of My Blood as being good,the rest is mediocre imo.

It's Dark And Hell Is Hot is a classic rap album and is up there with a lot of 'Pacs albums. Flesh Of My Flesh Blood Of My Blood is close to a classic as well, but there's 1 or 2 fillers on it. After that X rapidly went downhill, but he's still one of my favorite MC's.

I remember reading that too... I find it odd that nobody else involved (specifically the Death Row guys) have ever mentioned that. You'd figure Kurupt could've potentially mentioned something about that when dissing DMX when he did, yet we ONLY hear about it in DMX's book.

X freestyled there and Suge was amazed. But, how DMX said in the book, Dogg Pound were the hottest acts those days. He called out them while freestyling but noone answered. Back then, DMX was deep into battling. That's how he made name by himself. Despite this, Suge had only good words for DMX but the deal never happened.

he never did. like 2pac had all the rights on this planet to never get touched with words. right after he joined Death Row he, the Pounds, Snoop, etc.. started dissin like a bitches half these east coast rappers that been in the game ;xx
there were rappers who deserved to get their ass clowned, but there were also rappers who had really nothing to do with the east/west-big/pac beef and got thrown in the circle.
