Dmx talkin about pac from the old xxx Magazine

#3
everybody is influenced by somebody. it's obvious to me that dmx was influenced by pac whether he wants to admit it or not. i guess he is just tired of being called a pac biter by people over the years. that's also pretty ignorant of x to infer that pac was all about gangbanging. how would he know i thought he didnt listen? lol peace

he is far from 2pac's style in mt opinion... just cuz he's black and bald doesn't make him pac... still he has some classic songs and albums

DMX won the Source's Unsigned Hype award in January of 1991, 10 months before 2Pacalypse Now was released. Less than a year after 2Pacalypse dropped, X released his first single, "Born Loser" on Columbia Records. If you look at promotional pictures from this time period, you will see X with a bald head and his shirt off, maybe even before Pac started walking around without a shirt on all the time. Like someone else said, just because he's black and bald doesn't mean he's trying to be Pac. And believe it or not, there are other bald-headed black men in the world who don't listen to Pac or list him as an influence to what they do.

when did i say dmx was trying to be like pac? i don't think he does but many people do. x is probably sick of hearing about it. u really think that i think x is trying to be like pac cause he has a bald head? lol i just know x is full of shit when he says nobody has influenced him cause everybody has influences. years ago dmx had 5 2pac videos in his favorite videos of all time on BET and gave pac mad props so i know he was influenced somewhat by pac. being influenced by somebody doesn't mean you are a biter. also x is very ignorant in saying that shit about gang-banging. peace

Come on now. DMX had about 5-6 2pac videos out of his top 25 video countdown. DMX is on covers posing with tatooes and flags just like pac, but you're trying to tell me X isn't biting in any fashion. Look at the backcover of "It's Dark And Hell Is Hot" and tell me does that cover not look like the backcover of 2Pac's "Me Against The World". Hell look at the front cover of both those albums and tell me there isn't a slight similarity.

I remember when Ja first came out, he was in denial of trying to be like 2Pac and even went as far as to getting cornrolls in his hair to show the difference. But after he does all that, he only then goes back to the bald head and admitting his love for pac. To me it's the same with DMX, except he's never come out of the denial stage. But the top 25 video countdown which was not all that long ago may be a give away that he indeeds looks up to him and was influenced by 2pac in some way.

The first paragraph of your post is just incredible. If that are the arguments that X is bitting Pac then good luck. Honestly, how can you belive in that? 'Similarities' C'mon...
One more thing. Pac influenced 80% of today's rappers, those who were active while he was alive and those who started later. It's not big deal if X is one of them or not, but it's obvious that he ain't bitter like Tha Realest, Ja Rule, 50 Cent, Jay-Z and many others.

I wanna see this Top 25 Countdown, somebody brings it up every time Pac and X are mentioned in the same sentence. Does anyone have it on tape or know where I can find it?
BET'l probably reshow it, alot of times i get mad when they show old ones on saturday lol

about x....i think what some people here are sayin that X went as far as sayin he didn't care about nothin pac said, never listned to em didn't want to. just listned to X.." etc then throw in videos of him on countdown and over the years mention other shit about Pac.

he just was hostile in that interview lmao
side note, doe s anyone know when his new tv show is airin?

when I say biting, I don't mean it in a negative connotation as how some of you may see it. But I'm simply saying that X was influenced by pac no matter how much you, anybody, or X may deny it.

Look at DMX's style. I think there is a little more to this answer then saying, "oh coincidence".
