Lets see how far this bitch goes. I'll be posting episodes of Nihon Mukashi Banashi. A Tokyo Broadcasting System's show that aired animated folklores from the 70s to the mid 90s. They aired closed to 1500 of these so this thread shall never reach the second page!! HA!

Please do the thread a favor by posting folktales from your native country.

The first one has a hint of controversy to kick things off

**This video does not condone the killing of endangered animals.

Yeah, I figured the minds corrupted by television programs like American Idol and so forth would lack the imaginative capacity to understand the greatness of our ancestors that lived well before the information age, the age before televisions and the internet when people entertained themselves with stories they gain by observing the environment around them.

Simon, indeed, would give this clip that look, the look we see just below his dike haircut. Why? Because it doesn't have that POP feel. But fuck him, he dissed Austin Blackburn by calling his music "a sound of a cat being stepped on" or some stupid shit like that. Piers set him straight by saying that the genius of Austin went over the head of Simon. Go Piers!

Thank you though, thank you very much for taking the time to watch it. And I hope you will have the popcorn ready soon because I have another one coming.

Good day sir

Duke's post in WoW inspired me to post again, 'cause I'd hate to be labeled as a evolution denier and I hate misunderstanding even more. I mean, since I have conservative beliefs that I believe in god? Really? That's not the case at all. I look at the great barrier reef and question why anyone would deny evolution. And on another note, I can't hate on China for spilling a few million gallons of oil there, 'cause really - how many beautiful atolls in the Pacific has US destroyed with their nuclear tests? I'm a pot, and I'm also black, nice to meet your kettle!

This was really Japanese nationalism disguised under 'sharing of cultures!!' - I apologize for the selfishness, but I thought it was pretty amazing that a folklore with similar stories found throughout Japan had more intelligence than any television program I've seen in recent memory.
But make no mistake, I believe that god is something our ancestors created to explain mysteries.
