Did anyone on this board (the fans across the seas - non english speaking countries) started listening to Pac when they didnt speak English?

well the reason i am asking cause i didnt speak a fucking word back in 97 when i listened to all eyez on me - so for me it is interesting how pac captivated people around the world with his voice. i found myself skipping the tracks with not so good beats though.
just was curious if anyone had the same experience back then or even right now.

i bet some still enjoy Beatles somewhere in a foreign contry without understanding it and same goes with pac - i have lots of friends that dont know english but listening to pac

so for me it was an urge to learn what pac was really saying-basically my first english teacher.

yeah he is BIG as shit couse on the late 90 alot of street ppl moved to Sweden...before that sweden waz lolly lully Pop shit....noone new anything about Rap or westcoast or Pac....when I moved to sweden on 99 noone new about Pac in my school....the only thing they new about music waz Max Matrin(the one who allways produce Backstreet Boys and Britney and N*stinks :D )

he is big on the south sweden where all the minority ppl lives...on the south ghettos(Malmö, Helsingborg, Landskrona)....sweden has alot of imigrant from Somalia, Ghana, Turkey, Kosova, Bosnia and all these ppl lissen to Pac couse he tells us how we dont have the same rights here in sweden as sweeds....when it comes to me, I lissen Pac couse he tells me how to live my life on a forgein cpountry when u have ppl telling that u are not welcome on their country....and now Im on my first year on University of Lund(Swedens best one) and showing these swedish kids that minority ppl can make it too even tho I´ve only lived here for about 6 years.

Check this out Zero Cool, Sweden is one of the only countries that are crazy for Pac and his music. I remember when I saw my cousin, he's living in Sweden with my uncle. In 99' in Tunisia we went and bought a Pac tape and we played it the whole summer for a month and a half when he were at his house next to the beach.

Peace

no, i knew some english when i started listening to pac. I think that if u like hip hop, u should understand what the lyrics are about, if not, it doesn't make much sense, u only listen to the beat.
