I was calling Virgin Atlantic to arrange Airport assistance for my gran. They were playing Phil Colins. I love Phil Colins, so I started singing along, like really singing along.

The music stopped but I carried on because I thought it was another "Thank for waiting, we will be with you shortly" message. All I hear is this girl laughing.

Was kinda embarrassing to say the least. But I thanked her for being the only company I have ever called and enjoyed the Hold music.

I also got her number.

That is pretty funny, hehe. I did, once. Can't even remember the actual tune they used. But luckily I wasn't discovered. ;)

its kinda hard to sing along to beethovan, but what would he care about people singing along to his music?

Phil Collins rocks, do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. Sussudio is great, a great song, a personal favorite.

Is the name of the album "Duke," or are you talking to Duke here? And you've been a fan since 1980? Were you even born? (I don't really want these answered, just pointing out potential confusion.)

That's pretty funny. That's like being at a bar or movie theatre saying something all loud then it gets quiet and everyone hears you, that happens to me more often that singing to music while you're on hold lol.

You know that buying an album from any year, you don't have to actually buy it that year?

I was tapping my foot and clicking my fingers just like Phil, I was really doing a right little performance.

But he said hes been a fan ever since they released the album (which was in 1980, right?). So Jokerman is right, his comment makes no sense. At least not the way he said it. But Yoshii barely makes sense so nothing new here.

I fucking hate genesis and I fucking hate phil collins even more. Such an arrogant no talent fuck head.
Yeah that's what most dumb fucks say about anything with intellect.

I used to do this everyday at work whenever I got put on hold. The song was ALWAYS "I am, you are, we are AUSTRALIAN!" as that was the companies song. It drove most employee's nuts. I never got caught.
