How Much Is Your Stolen Music Worth?

To answer your original question, my stolen music is worth around £700 but for most of these I also have the original copy bought legit.
Nah, you see what the article said was that they take each song as being worth 99 cents, & then times that by 10 because they assume that on average a user will have allowed ten other users to download that file.

There was some other shit they said but basically, it isn't the music's retail value, it's how much they estimate the companies have lost.

I wish I could post that fucking article!

Btw, for those of you wondering, without all the decimals the ratio from dollar to pound is 1.4:1.9 <<<so basically double it, like someone said.

I see that some of you guys are looking for ways to avoid the RIAA. Trust me, there's no 100% to protect yourself from them unless you know all their secrets. If you want to keep yourself safe for sure, stay away from P2P networks.

I hardly ever download songs. I only download songs that I love and can't find a link for. I have a total of 137 tracks, and if each was $0.99, it would be about $135. I store links to each song in RealOne. That allows me to save space.

Im in Canada, so pretty much nobody can stop me.

I remember someone on this board had a problem witht he RIAA and owed like 10 000 cause he had like 100 gigs of music and movies put away and shit.. Not sure if it's true, but that's still fucked up.

How many cd's do you guys actually have. Being someone who actually likes to support artists so they do not have to sell out to make money, i own around 550-600 cds. I have about 5 of those 128 disc cases full.
