Let's be honest. This is going to be another pathetic release. With the exception of soon as I get home (hopefully) being the OG, and new verses by hussein fatal on one song, the rest of the album is shaping up to be pretty sad.
How do we make people aware of this? As it was mentioned, part of the problem is that there are only thousands of us fans who because of our DSL connections and our decently-well-off lifestyles, have time to search for and download or acquire 2Pac original and unreleased songs.
On the other hand, the 'hood, the streets...the less-well-off who don't even have 'Net connections in some cases, or do but don't have time to waste on the internet because they are busting their asses working jobs...many of the people that 'Pac was trying to reach...and are in much, much, greater numbers than most of us...in my humble opinion, i think they are largely unaware of what is going on with 'pac's music. but some that are not THAT poor will still will more than likely buy the album because it is reportedly not going to be too expensive, and it's by an artist that is almost universally adored. a pac album is still guaranteed to sell at least a million, two million.
how can we make an impact on the music? how can we make people aware of what amaru is doing to 2pac's music, and how can we effectively initiate a boycott of the upcoming album that will actually work?
here's what I propose.
1.) The OG version of this album will be up in an hour. It will be linked to from this thread.
2.) Everyone who wants to participate in this scheme should be encouraged to download this.
3.) Burn about 25 copies of this album. If you are willing to part with 25 blanks, continue. If not, forget it. Label the CDs (on the actual CD itself:

Boycott that shit coming out in stores
Spread this CD like the flu
4.) Now, any time you are on public transportation, in an urban area that is quite public, bus stop, train stop, mcdonalds in the lesser off areas, whatever...doesn't matter what country you're in either...just any time you are in what you consider to be the 'hood, the streets, the rough neighborhood, or even if not that, just around an area where you know lesser off people will be hanging around...drop a CD at this location. And let's see what happens.
I don't know how effective this will be, but at least it creates some sort of awareness and it gets the OGs out there to the people that 'Pac was trying to reach, but due to the way the world is set up probably couldn't get to them.
Either roll with this or don't roll with this. Constructive criticism is fine, but please don't reply with some stupid response like "ok yeah i stopped reading at..." or "yeah good luck dude" or "um whatever"
