I'm surprised nobody made a thread about it yet.
We're about to get hit with it early Sunday morning (around 1/2am), it's been raining here all day. Winds supposed to hit 85+ mph up here, they closed down everything here tonight.

I know Jokerman is a few arm lengths away from me, so be safe homeboy.
If you don't hear from me, power and etc is probably out for a while.

Anyone else on here that's about to get hit?

Yeah, at work right now. Very windy and rainy, but the storm isn't quite here yet. Still hanging around Maryland last I checked. I may be stuck at work for more than 24 hours. Irene be payin' my salary, son.

I'm glad it didn't turn out like they thought it would. It was a boring day here. Woke up at 3pm, did nothing of my day, and went back to sleep. Yup.

My mom and sis just got back from Ottawa and apparently it was cold enough to warrant wearing a jacket. They said it was because of the aftermath of Irene. So I'm not sure if it was just raining a ton or what.

I remember when Ike hit and the Southeast felt the after effects. It rained for two days straight, non-stop wind, and everywhere you went you had to drive with your lights on, it was that dark. I enjoy storms and rarely lose my shit during one. One of my fondest memories about college was smoking a cig on my porch with some buds while it basically monsooned. /endnostalgicrant

I got to see some of this stuff on TV in Mexico. Kinda funny cause I figured the part I was staying in was going to get a decent amount of rain, but it was nothing but sun.
