Congrats. Mozilla is the way to go.

However, I forgot to fix that. It never bugged me though.

Try some add ons. They are awesome.

here:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/

and im not sure how to stop the list of websites appearing in the address bar. i cant see anything in options anyway

btw, by default the time to keep your history is set to 60 days or something like that i think. Change this to something a lot lower. I let my history build up until eventually Firefox started freezing and crashing. I think this was the cause. not sure though.

i installed firefox and never fucked with any settings, and it shows all sites from my web log that are relevant to the letters i put in the address bar.

you sure the problem isn't just that you installed it and there are no web addresses stored in your log yet lol? when importing settings from ie to mozilla i don't think it copies the log, and i think the two applications use two different log directories in your hard drive.

you should see stars on the right hand side when you are typing the address. you can click the stars to set or remove sites as your favourites. This will remove them from the adress bar, without affecting your actual favourite bookmarked links.
