I have 2 dogs. The puppy knows when I'm upset. I'll be moping around the house and she'll bring me all of her toys. Shove her teddy bear in my face...lick my eye. They definitely make it easier.

I can't take off work though. I had to negotiate to take 2 vacation days at once to go to DC. No one does my job when I'm away so it would just build up until I got back.

Anyway...My coworker told me I looked really nice today which was really sweet but it was immediately followed by "What's going on?" :worried: FML

Just remind yourself how much better you are doing than Lansky and that should cheer you up. Or just look at one of his beach pictures..and that should do it too.

awww your puppy's so cute. he's trying to get your attention. when i was sick my dog stayed with me day and night. all the time. at times i'd play with him when he'd bring me his toys. I guess it's their way to console us/make us feel better. that and being extra cuddly.

Why? I always wonder why it works differently for different people.
Sometimes I like when my friends care when I'm feeling bad but some others hate it and rather not talk about that at all.
It depends on how emotional I am. If I am on the verge of breaking down I can't talk about it, I'm the type that prefers to be distracted. This is atleast in public ie work.. Otherwise if I'm at home its a different story.
